We recently sailed aboard the Disney Wish. I still can't get over how beautiful it is! Our room was an oceanview with verandah. It had a normal bed, murphy bed as well as bunks so we could have fit our entire family of 5 in it. The stateroom was spacious. Storage was phenomenal as well.
It was a chillier sailing which made it possible to really walk around the ship and see things. We even took a walking tour to learn more about it.
Once we got a little farther south, we enjoyed the adult only area including the hot tub and the infinity style pool. We rode the AquaMouse water slide and watched a movie by one of the family pools. We ate dinner at 3 wonderful restaurants. Lunch we ate at the quick service style places near the pools or at the buffet. The places by the pool were delicious and by far my favorite across any of the Disney fleet. I still think about the BBQ and the Burrito Bowls often. 😂
We opted to stay on the ship when we stopped in Nassau. This is a cruise stop we've made many times, so we wanted to spend the day on board enjoying all the ship had to offer. Trivia. drawing and the family games shows are some of our favorite things to take part in.
Castaway Cay, Disney's private island, was the 2nd stop on this sailing. It was a little too cold for swimming so we stopped to see our buddy Mickey Mouse on our way to participate in the Castaway Cay 5K. It was the PERFECT weather for that.
Before we knew it, it was time to head back home. I certainly wasn't ready for it to end. We are already looking forward to the next one and plan to take the kids. (The kids club is AMAZING on this ship so I know they will have a blast.)

For our pre-cruise stay, we opted to stay at Port Orleans Riverside. POR is a beautiful, moderate resort. This is a large resort area with lots of walking space. We had a woods view room with 2 queen beds and had a lovely view of trees and the bridge over the Sassagoula River. One of the things I love about this resort is that they have 5th sleeper rooms, which is great for families like ours. They have a delicious quick service restaurant as well as a table service restaurant on property.
Transportation options for this resort are bus to all 4 parks and boat ride to Disney Springs. If you are planning on staying here before a Disney Cruise, for an additional cost Disney transportation will pick you up at your resort and take you to the port.

We highly recommend a stay at this resort. It's definitely our new favorite!

I will be out of office for the next week sailing aboard my dream ship- The Disney Wish. Fun fact- Cinderella has always been my favorite princess, closely followed by Rapunzel. This ship has Cinderella's statue and Rapunzel on the front. I'm not sure it can get any better than that! I seriously can't wait to be onboard this beautiful ship!

2024 was quite the year of travel! I spent the year learning and growing to be better educated for my clients. I visited theme parks and cruised so I could get hands on experience to better serve my clients for their trips. I sent clients on cruises, to Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando and to Sandals Jamaica.
