The final day onboard was another sea day. The App is your place to go to find out all the great happenings going on. Today was spent relaxing and reading, enjoying a final lunch in the buffet, Cabanas, a drink in O’Gills the onboard pub, and dinner at the beautifully themed and fun Rapunzel’s Royal Table. The final show of the cruise was the award winning production Disney Dreams. As expected, Disney service and quality was present at each and every turn

Today was the only port day on this short cruise. The port, Progresso, is new to me. It is….rustic…. But they are trying to make stops here appealing. Our original excursion was cancelled, and the new one altered. We visited a salt producing area, which was much more interesting than I expected, then headed off to some Mayan ruins, where climbing was encouraged. If our very good guide is to be believed, these ruins are older than Chichen Itza. It was then off to a beach break for lunch and a rum tasting. Dinner was at the elegant adult only restaurant onboard…Palo… which comes with an extra charge.
A busy and enjoyable day.

Sea Days are the best! You can do as much or as little as you like. Relax on your balcony or maybe get a fancy coffee in the adult section coffee shop while you read. Explore the ship and find the quiet corners. Did you know that each Disney ship has a statue in the atrium celebrating a character? As the Disney Magic is the first in the fleet, it’s only fitting that it’s Mickey at the helm. Disney is the only ship at sea offering first run movies, so a sea day is a great time to take one in. You can also enjoy such things as crafts, games, and Bingo. Did you know that Disney offers complimentary hot and cold beverages including soda 24 hours a day at the beverage station, and ice cream throughout the day? Maybe a Dole Whip (with rum) would be to your liking. One of my favorites activities is a beverage tasting, such as Mixology, also known as can you drink 5 cocktails in 45 minutes? Of course you’ll have dinner in another beautifully themed restaurant and maybe get a show with a special guest. There’s time to shop as well, and don’t miss the Broadway style shows in the Walt Disney theater. And of course your turn down service with include chocolates and a towel animal.

So what’s a first day on a Disney cruise look like?
You arrive at port and jump right into the Disney bubble. After the boarding process and being welcomed onboard, are your cruise firsts. First meal, first view of your beautiful stateroom(did you know that most rooms offer a split bathroom with a sink and shower/tub in one room and sink/toilet in the other? So convenient)first view of your Castaway Club gifts (these gifts start on your second cruise!)first dessert, the required muster drill, first dinner in your rotational dining experiences, first show, and first sleep. I missed the first sunset as just too much fun stuff was going on.
