16th June 2019 back in MANCORA - Peru chasing the sunset 🌅. Sweet memories this are.
Four years later, here we are reunited by travel. We met Carly and her mom Wendy in Antarctica 🇦🇶 . A friendship formed in 11 days of the adventure and lasted. An amazing reunion. So much laughter and memories of the trip. It was just like we just got off the boat.
and met in Panama in 2019 when I (Wamuyu ) returned home. They spent amazing time together riding and sharing good moments. When Gregg said he was doing his Africa leg, we invited him over. What a lovely time we have spent together. Travel safe our friend. We miss you already.
On this day 20.04.2018 just a few months before starting our world tour, we became legal. We celebrated our love with family and friends. had this joke always , “nikupeleke huko nje bila papers na ukiona Alejandro“? 😂😂😂😂😂 we would laugh 😂 to this all the time.

When we rode in to Colombia 🇨🇴, a friend of who also lives in Colombia told us about Kenyan missionaries in Colombia . We reached out and we were invited to stay with them for a few days that turned to a few more days. Fr. Mwangi is one of them. He visits home after every 4 years and it was a blessing to have him and his brother Peter at home and share a meal and spend a day together. He is the one in blue top. We are still in the anniversary mood. A little late here though . We met on 16th January 2016 and so we always celebrate this as our first anniversary among many firsts we have had together. Wamuyu on the bike and Dos behind there removing his helmet. When this picture was taken we were total strangers. This is at a petrol station. Dos asked for Wamuyu’s number and the rest is an adventurous lovely story of life .
Reminisce the moments with us. Look out for our many firsts that are very significant in our lives and love.
Uno has had a few mishaps recently. We were checking the tyre pressure after a puncture repair a day ago and a scratch on the tool box yesterday. A pressure pump is a very important tool to have at home and if possible, carry it for long distance rides.

Ushuaia is referred the to as the end of the world. It’s the city at the most bottom of Argentina and marks the south most of dry land. We were here enroute to Antarctica 🇦🇶. There is so much history from the city. What they call summer is still very cold. It’s also the most Windy City we have visited. We witnessed the wind bring down 20 & 40 ft containers in the port.
To say we miss the road is an understatement.
The real
Antarctica 🇦🇶
We decided we want to travel to Antarctica in the early stages of our planning. We started researching online on the logistics and the costs. We contacted many companies and the cost was quite high and every time we got a response in the email, we would think, this dream is too big for us. We can’t afford it. But the biggest fear was in loosing money as we had no clue who we were dealing with. The logistics to get to Antarctica are not easy to navigate. The cost of gear and insurance and just making sure that you can get the full experience you are paying for needs someone to put in some great hours of work. So when put out their offer, we jumped onto it. There was someone to guide us and do the work as we traveled with little or no access to internet. Our fears were sorted. It was not cheap but we have seen get better deals every year and for sure you can get a good deal now than we got then. They have a payment plan too that is flexible if you book early.
We were 30 of us who came through travel and have remained friends since then. For me, this was the highlight of the cruise to Antarctica as there is no price that one can put on friendship. We got the best deal overall.

Just few days before the Rona hit. These were our last days in Costa Rica and we entered Nicaragua a week later and the world just shut down. We had the world to ourselves and no idea of what was coming in a weeks time. Looking back over 13,000 kms.
These moments was also celebrated with amazing friends we met in Costa Rica
Because riding is our therapy …
