This is "Tobi" one of the many artist decorated Koala sculptures that forms part of the Gold Coast Sculpture Trail dotted across the Gold Coast. Cynthia Cabello is the artist behind this creation. These sculptures are to raise awareness of koala conservation and the work that the Currumbin Wildlife Hospital does in treating, rehabilitating and releasing the native animals.

Circular Quay is Sydney's largest ferry terminal and home to the world famous Sydney Opera House and Royal Botanic Garden. The Sydney Harbour Bridge is also in full view from here, making this one of the "must visit" locations when in Sydney.

Still popular today "Blinky Bill" first appeared in books in 1933. This particular one lives outside the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary on the Gold Coast, Australia. These guys do a great job rehabilitating and releasing injured animals.

Things are hotting up on the Gold Coast. GC600 is in full swing and Evandale Parklands just behind HOTA (Home of the Arts) might just be the place to cool off with a beautiful lake, walking track and nice shaded area for a picnic. There is also a playground for the children and exercise stations for grown ups.

For those of you were disappointed not to see that famous blue koala, "Borobi" during the opening ceremony, here is a quick reminder of what he looks like! The Photo was taken at the Broadwater Parklands, Southport, Gold Coast where there are plenty of free activities for the kids.

Always nice to see a "Laughing Kookaburra" (Dacelo novaeguineae). They are thought to pair for life and even share incubation duties and caring for their young, such a beautiful bird!
