✨ Souvenirs with Meaning ✨

I’m back from my incredible trip to Italy, and while I loved exploring the beautiful cities, I also focused on collecting small but meaningful items that will remind me of my adventures every day. 🛍️

One of my favorites? A delicate glass dish from Murano, perfect for holding my rings while I bake bread or wash dishes. Every time I use it, I’ll be transported back to the colorful island of Murano. 💍✨

I also picked up a charming little blue handmade house from Burano—its vibrant color reminds me of the island’s stunning, colorful buildings. It’s the perfect touch of Italy hanging from my purse. 🇮🇹💙

While in Florence, I couldn’t resist some beautiful stationery from a quaint shop—it’s such a personal way to remember the city’s artistic soul. 🖋️💌 And of course, I had to get a soft leather tote from Piazza Spirito Santo, where I found the most lovely market. It’s the kind of bag that gets better with time, just like the memories of Florence. 👜💫

I love finding items that are both practical and sentimental. These will keep the spirit of Italy alive in my day-to-day life, long after the trip is over. 🧳💖

Happy King Kamehameha Day! King Kamehameha Day, a pretty big deal in Hawaii, falls on June 11 and celebrates the accomplishments of “Kamehameha the Great.” He’s credited with uniting the Hawaiian Islands in 1810. A highly revered leader, Kamehameha is honored each year with numerous celebrations across the islands. Downtown Honolulu hosts one such celebration, where hundreds of leis, at least 30 feet long, are draped over the a 15-foot statue of the celebrated ruler. Other celebrations include parades, a plethora of floral arrangements and, of course, the traditional Hawaiian hula. While I was in Hawaii we got to participate in a Hawaiian protocol at the Ahu'ena Heiau which is a National Historic Landmark and one of Hawaii's most important cultural sites. This site serves many purposes, including a structure dedicated to Lono, the Hawaiian god of peace, agriculture, and prosperity.
