We don't know what the #BrantGeese are saying, but they are moving to the shallow rivulets of the #estuary.

Sometimes we hear these noisy eaters even before we see them. #otters have strong jaws to crunch through clam, crab and sea urchin shells. This is one more reason to give #wildlife their space.

Now that's a high tide.

This #seaotter was having clams and crabs for breakfast. She popped up near us, ate, and went back down for more. Otters need to eat more than 25% of their body weight each day. That's a lot of shellfish!

We were paddling along when this #seaotter popped up next to our group and had a #crab #brunch. We stopped paddling, were very quiet, and let her have some space. Thanks to our awesome clients for helping us keep our #wildanimals safe and wild!

Bat rays (myliobatis californicus) hide in plain sight by "flying" in rolling water, but you can see one here, with the tips of its wings (pectoral fins) breaking the surface of the water.
