On the way back to Perth, we called into Coalseam Conservation Park, which is as good as I've ever seen it.
If you haven't done the wildflowers North of Perth, get up there. It will blow your mind!

After almost 2 years on the road, we're home in Perth!
We actually got back a few days ago to surprise family, and have been spending lots of time cleaning and unpacking.
Our Reconn R2 goes on the market soon, but we're enjoying a different pace again!
Episode 85 of our Big Lap is live, where we find a cracking campsite near Batemans Bay, and have a major near miss with the fire!

Ah, there's something about the beaches in WA!
Take two. Now we have 3 worn ones and one brand new. $460 in Broome and I was lucky to get one
When in Broome, dinner on Cable Beach is hard to beat!
The beautiful Windjana Gorge, but it's changed a lot since we last visited.
Also, some weird, moody weather around. We had rain in Kununurra and on the Gibb only a week ago!
Galvans and Bell Gorge on the Gibb are well worth a stop!
Bummer. Thought we'd do our third trip down the Gibb without a puncture, but nope!
After 5 years, and around 1000 nights spent in our Lifestyle Reconn R2, we've decided to sell it when we finish our Lap of Australia (which isn't that far away!)
It's been a magic camper, and this is not an advert, but just our thoughts on where we're at, and why we're going to find new owners for it!
We've made the tough decision to sell our 2018 Lifestyle Reconn R2 after lots of fun and many nights camping. Here's why.

The caravan park is very expensive and has deteriorated since we visited but it's the only place you can legally stay.
Go for the lake itself though, and make sure you book a boat or cruise as access to the water is very limited otherwise!
Sometimes you have to leave the 4WD behind! If you haven't been out on Lake Argyle before, put it on the bucket list.
It's absolutely insane, and this time we opted to hire a tinny for 4 hours, which was a heap of fun.
One of the most amazing national parks in Australia, and it seems hardly anyone goes here.
Who knows where it is?
How deep is too deep for you? This is at Cahills Crossing, where we watched a couple of vehicles come through at virtually high tide. They were all fine, with exception of the unloaded and light Ute that got pushed around a lot more than the others.
This is not a place that you want to have things go wrong, with heaps of salt water crocodiles waiting downstream for you!
Hmm. Might have to upgrade. Thoughts?!

There are no words that can explain how good it is to float your way down Bitter Springs at Mataranka, over and over again! The water is warm and clear, and its easily one of the best places you can swim in Australia
If you're looking for great free camping, Cloncurry has a couple of great options. This is the beautiful Corella Dam, which we thoroughly enjoyed for a night

Who's been here? What a place, and a major change in temperature. We had 2 degrees not that long ago early in the morning, and suffice to say, our diesel heater got a bit of a work out!
