đź“Ť About A Chef's Tour:
We started A Chef’s Tour with one simple aim: to create and curate food experiences good enough for chefs.
After travelling the world over, we became bored with the same mediocre food tours. We wanted a tour which helped us truly understand regional food, its history and ingredients. A tour which pushed our limits and didn’t pander to western palates.
Our story started with a single chef in Bangkok who designed a street food tour which has since become the highest rated in the city. Since inception, we've expanded to offer unique culinary experiences across Asia and Latin America.
đź“Ť What you'll be doing:
- Lead the food tours in the specific location for a group of guests between 1 to 8 pax
- Ensure a 5-star experience with every single tour
- Share stories about every food stop or place
- Ensure that your guests feel safe, comfortable, and welcome
- Interact with the guests and answer their questions
- Tweak and improve the tour as and when required
- Collaborate and develop new tours in the same location down the line
- Assist the guests all the way from how to reach the starting point to helping them get back to their accommodation safely after the tour
- Respond to emergency situations in the best manner possible
- Gracefully and calmly deal with any challenges that may arise during the course of the tour
- Strictly understand food allergies and food preferences of travelers
- Manage and build a team of guides as we evolve and take off
đź“Ť You're the one we've been looking for if you:
- Have 2-3 years experience working in the travel and tourism industry
- Are an enthusiastic Mumbai-based tour guide
- Are fluent and articulate in English
- Have excellent conversational skills with a knack for storytelling
- Are someone with an intimate knowledge of Mumbai's street food scene
- Are keen on taking the initiative to constantly grow and improve the tours in collaboration with the rest of the team
- Are truly passionate about leading the best experiences for a global audience of travelers
- Are in this for the long run
- Have some chef or alternative experience in the food space (preferred)
- Are a licensed tour guide (preferred)
- Are a foodie, food blogger, travel blogger, and so on (preferred)
