Good advice for when people can start traveling again...... some day 🤞🏻

Social distancing means avoiding large gatherings and maintaining distance (approximately 6 feet) from others when possible. While we're at it, let's remember to keep it 300 feet or more for larger wildlife.

As services are limited, the National Park Service continues to urge visitors to:

Check park websites for the most up to date information regarding access.

Pack out everything you bring into a park and always practice Leave No Trace principles.

Park only in designated areas. Follow park regulations.

If you encounter a crowded trail-head or overlook, you're not practicing safe social distancing. Go elsewhere.

If waving to your friend from six feet away, you're doing it right. If you're waving while standing next to a moose, you're not.

Visit nps.gov/coronavirus to learn more.

We are all going through difficult times, with lots of negativity being thrown around, so we just want to have something to feel positive and optimistic about!!

Fairbanks - We will meet in Fox, just outside of Fairbanks, where we will drive guests out to our put-in spot in the upper Chatanika river. We will float down river by packraft, stopping for lunch along the way, and watch for wildlife along the way to the take-out spot on the lower Chatanika river.....

A nice way to get some social distancing 🤪, and good exercise!

A winter break in Alaska’s interior usually means viewing the spectacular northern lights while snowmobiling or dog sledding across the frozen landscape. But bicycling? Indeed, winter cycling has joined the lineup of seasonal fun in the far north, and Fairbanks has become a center of the action.

We got lucky to have such a beautiful day for a ride! 🚲❄🌞🚲

Building something new...

People choose to live in Alaska for many different reasons, and for most of us we choose to live here for the Alaskan lifestyle: we enjoy the cold and rugged weather, we explore the endless wilderness, and we immerse ourselves in outdoor activities that are as varied as the summer and winter seasons.

What we want to do is share that Alaskan lifestyle with you and provide an opportunity for you to really experience life up here, just as the locals do. We don't want to put our guests through a canned and prepackaged tour that doesn't have any intimacy; we want to treat our guests the same way we would treat any of our friends and family that come to visit!

And what do we like to do up here? We go out cross country skiing, biking, hiking, and camping. We canoe and packraft on the rivers. We go out to a cabin where we can unplug from the hustle and bustle of modern life and enjoy a simpler way to live. Even better if there is a hot springs at the cabin ;)
