This pilot, a continuation of the 2021 pilot, will test how well potential changes to roads and intersections relieve traffic congestion in Yosemite Valley.

Beginning Friday, May 20, 2022, Yosemite National Park will implement a temporary peak-hours reservation system. Building on lessons learned during the summer reservation systems in 2020 and 2021, the peak hours reservation system is designed to spread visitation out and reduce chronic congestion in the park. The reservation requirement will be in place through September 30, 2022.

Park visitors will need a reservation to enter the park between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. seven days per week (this includes people passing through the park). Visitors entering the park outside of the peak hours are not required to have a reservation.

Great news! Glacier Point Road will open tomorrow morning (Saturday, November 13 at 8am) and will remain open as long as conditions allow. No services will be available (including drinking water). Overnight parking is not allowed; the road may close at any time. Tioga Road remains closed due to snow and downed trees.
