Ancient Wisdom Birth Services I am Detroit born and raised, young mother, former pre med/nursing student, and healthcare employee.

Having experiencing firsthand the systemic issues related to race, socioeconomic status and discrimination as a teen mother and while working in hospitals I was naturally forced to question my path in healthcare. While temporarily moving to Alabama, and working through my next steps I had the privilege of meeting a midwife. She taught me about the African American History of midwives and doulas wh

ich inspired me to research the cost of these systemic issues and how I can help counteract them. I am now a childbirth educator, doula (aka labor assistant) and home birth midwives assistant. I work in the homes of Detroit women, helping them to move beyond their previous negative experiences with traditional healthcare, educating them on natural childbirth, nutrition, holistic health, homeopathic remedies and I am an advocate for justice.
