Update on my run through the Vallespir.

That was bonkers. Trails really technical and unable to run 95% of it. I’ve never been on a night run where it was so dark. And 90% was in dense forest. I decided to stop in Prats de Mollo. A really sore left knee and feeling cold from this lingering head cold had me at times but apart from that I felt Ok considering what we had just put in. But I could not find the why for wanting to carry on. I did the other half of the loop last week, I’ve seen my valley in its entirety. 47 km’s and 3000mtrs of up with a head torch 🔦 on grinding up forest trails with no views or interest, got to a point where I was ultimately getting bored with it.
There was nothing to prove to anyone including myself.
This run was about helping address the state of my mental health at the moment. And as soon as I decided Yep I don’t want to do anymore, that decision made me feel really good in myself.

Jasmin you are a true LEGEND and Inspiration

WOW!!! JASMIN DID IT! 👏👏👏

Jasmin Paris has become the first-ever woman to complete Barkley Marathons, the world’s most notorious ‘100 mile’ ultramarathon.

She completed her fifth - and final - loop in a total race time of 59hrs 58mins, narrowly beating the 60-hour time limit and sparking incredible scenes.

While she may not be an INOV8 ambassador these days, we are all ecstatic for Jasmin. She is a true history-maker, breaking new ground and achieving something that has not happened since the famous race started in 1986.

Jasmin moved away from holding any brand partnerships after her Barkley Marathons debut in 2022, choosing instead to run free of sponsorships. She remains a friend - and inspiration - to us.

There were a total of five finishers in this years Barkley Marathons - Ihor Verys, John Kelly, Jared Campbell, Greig Hamilton and Jasmin.

We’re gutted for INOV8 ambassador Damian Hall who was unable to complete his fifth loop, returning to camp from the wrong direction with 59 hours showing on the clock. More to follow on that.

Sebastien Raichon also didn’t complete his fifth loop.

And the weather storm started to grow.

Kilimanjaro part 1.
Another amazing trip on Kili, no summit this time as a big weather system battered the mountain. We got to Kosovo high camp and tents were being almost ripped apart. Descending the next morning we felt absolutely happy with what we had achieved with such a great group of young people from . I feel privileged working for such a great expedition department and my friends that are some of the best IML’s out there and an incredible doctor.

Acclimatisation hike today with the group on Mount Meru in the beautiful Arusha National park. We saw so many giraffes 😁😁😁😁.
Tomorrow we start up Kilimanjaro
