The 2020 Gasparilla Running Cruise

Join us for the 2020 Gasparilla Running Cruise and set sail for the running experience of a lifetime! We'll board the Norwegian Dawn in Tampa, FL on Sunday afternoon, February 23, 2020.

At 4:00 p.m., the ship will head down Tampa's Seddon Channel and out to the Caribbean for seven days and seven nights! We'll return to Tampa on the morning of March 1, 2020.

During the cruise, you'll enjoy four unique, magical and restorative running experiences!

And...We'll be accompanied by honorary captain and world-famous runner Dick Beardsley, along with a full crew of sun-loving runners.

ABOUT OUR RUNNING CREW

Rich Wills

Rich Wills is the owner of FITniche, a group of running stores in central Florida rated as one of the Top 4 Running Stores in the country. Rich also owns a timing and events management business and is a father to 5 amazing children, ranging in ages from 5 to 20! Rich’s wife, Julie, gave him a love for travel, so the idea of a running cruise to magical Caribbean destinations immediately piqued his interest and curiosity.

Brent Cook

Brent Cook is graduate of Northern Michigan University and Western Michigan University. A 400 and 800-meter athlete in college he migrated to longer distances post-college. Cook is a Master’s All-American and has been sponsored by Brooks’ since 1993. He coached prep athletes for over 20 seasons between Glynn Academy and Brunswick High School in Brunswick, Georgia. Cook is a veteran of 1300 events over the past forty years and is married to Robin DeBlake a standout distance runner and Olympic torch bearer in the 1996 Atlanta Olympic games.

Shane Mahoney

An intrepid world traveler and entrepreneur, Shane Mahoney is the founder of Lugos Travel. Shane founded Lugos Travel in 2011 to provide bespoke executive travel experiences to couples and families. The company’s mission is to create unforgettable experiences that surprise and dazzle its clients in bucket-list locations, experiences that spare no detail, that delight the senses. The Lugos Travel commitment starts with a meticulously-planned itinerary which, once finalized, is presented to each client in a handsewn keepsake book. Shane is also the creator of Experience 007, an entirely immersive, interactive experience wherein each client plays the role of James Bond. Shane lives in Lakeland, Florida, with his wife and son (who recently enjoyed his first-ever visit to Disney World.)
