Día de los Mu***os captured by 🌺💀🌹

Día de los Mu***os, or Day of the Dead, is a Mexican tradition celebrated on November 1st and 2nd to honor loved ones who have passed away.

Rooted in ancient Aztec beliefs, this tradition blends indigenous customs with Catholic influences. Families create altars (ofrendas) adorned with candles, marigolds, and the favorite items of the deceased to welcome their spirits back for a day.

Rituals such as visiting gravesites, sharing food, and celebrating life make this holiday deeply meaningful—an experience we are honored to share on 🇲🇽.

Many of our teammates have spent time in Mexico City during Día de los Mu***os and have described it as one of the most beautiful and vibrant traditions they’ve ever witnessed.

The Landscapes – Unreal to say the least. From the emerald waters of Ha Long Bay to the jaw-dropping temples, the natural beauty is absolutely mesmerizing.

Imagine setting off on a trip just for a little change of scenery, only to stumble upon the love of your life along the way 🥰

That’s exactly what happened to Lizzie from Alabama...

One sunny afternoon on FTLO Greek Islands lounging by the cabanas in Paros, Lizzie caught a glimpse of Niko. After a staring game, Niko broke the ice and the rest is history.

“We had instant chemistry and he met us out for drinks that night. We ended the night with a walk on the beach and watched the sun come up on the lounge chairs at the hotel pool. We have talked every day since.”

Despite being from vastly different parts of the world, the two quickly found that they had a ton in common and after visiting Greece again twice, Lizzie decide to move to there permanently 🥹

And guess what? This weekend, they made it official!

Originating from African rhythms and movements, with indigenous flutes and drums adding their own layers of sound, Cumbia is the heartbeat of Colombia 🇨🇴

Initially, Cumbia was a courtship dance, with women moving in wide skirts, while men circled them, representing the dance of love and attraction. The men would use their feet to mimic the steps of African dances, while the women, in long flowing skirts, held candles to light the way, representing a balance between tradition and celebration.

Now, it has evolved to be an entire symbol of Colombia’s national identity.

And while we wouldn’t consider ourselves dancing experts, on you’ll have more than one opportunity to experience this dance on its native turf.
