Belize has issued new COVID-19 safety measures for travelers.

As of February 15, all travelers to Belize, regardless of vaccination status, must purchase the Belize Travel Health Insurance plan. This mandatory plan can be purchased prior to travel or upon arrival.

The Belize Travel Health Insurance plan provides coverage for both medical and non-medical expenses related to COVID-19 if tested positive. This coverage is not included in any Travel Protection Plan (TPP) coverage your client may have added during the booking process.

The insurance cost is $18 and provides up to $50,000 in medical expenses related to COVID-19 treatment for 21 days.* The plan also provides $2,000 in lodging expenses and covers emergency expenses related to pre-existing conditions.
