Disney’s Hollywood Studios is our favorite park for a LOT of reasons—one being Toy Story Land! We could spend an entire day over there I think. Did you know The Green Army Men perform as they walk around Andy’s Backyard?

An important part of any Disney trip is taking time to slow down and look at all of the little details. While waiting for our Lightning Lane for Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway we explored the front of the attraction. This building is an exact replica of the Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Los Angeles, California. If you look down, you’ll see handprints, footprints, and signatures from many big name celebrities from 1989-1995ish—including the main Mouse himself!

At night the front facade is magically transformed for The Wonderful World of Animation projection show! This fun show takes you through 90 years of Disney and Pixar animation. My favorite part? The show fittingly begins and ends with the one-and-only Mickey Mouse….because we “can never lose sight of one thing—it all began with a mouse.” 😉

Sci-Fi Drive in Theater Restaurant in Disney’s Hollywood Studios was our first sit down meal this trip. It features some amazing burgers, including a seasonal burger that changes so make sure to ask your Car Hop!

While the atmosphere is fun, it’s DARK in there! Why? Because it’s a drive in theater! 😂 The food was just okay and will definitely be a one and done for our family.

Check in Day! One of our favorite things to do is take our time when we first get to Orlando. We swim, eat some snacks, and just take in all that the resort has to offer. Sometimes we make it to Disney Springs too!

One of my favorite things to do in Disney’s Animal Kingdom is walk around the Tree of Life and see how many animals you can spot in its larger than life carvings. Just in this shot alone there are so many! I feel like there’s never enough time in this beautiful park to truly take in all it has to offer.

While at St. Thomas, book a day pass for Pink Palm Hotel. This adults only boutique hotel has great drink and food options, as well as: towel service, WiFi, showers, friendly staff and a quick taxi to port.

If you aren’t looking to spend a lot on excursions, I highly recommend day passes!

One of our favorite lands in any Disney park is Toy Story Land! Jackson could stay there all day, bouncing between the 3 rides found there and be just fine! Located in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the theming is immersive—it really feels like you’re a toy! 🧸

Jackson tells me the first thing he’s doing is riding Slinky Dog next week. And then wants to kick my butt, and his Aunt Lindsay’s, on Toy Story Mania. 😂

I remember their first trips like it was yesterday. Now my nephew thinks he’s too cool for Disney, and my son is afraid of characters. But that first trip…that first trip was different. The magic I got to make as a Cast Member will always be amazing, but seeing the magic through their eyes for the first time? That’s magic unlike any I’ve ever felt. Take the trip. They might not remember the first time they met their idol….but you will.

🏨 The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is by far one of my favorite rides on all of property. The theming, the cast members, and the thrills are all just top notch.

It’s a busy week at the Walt Disney World Resort!!

🏃 Registration for Club RunDisney members opens TODAY for the 2025 WDW Marathon! (General registration opens the 9th. 😉)
⚾️ Through April 7th, Spring Training is taking place at the Wide World of Sports complex for high school and college students.
⭐️ Starting April 5, 2024, new Star Wars adventures featuring characters and locations from some of your favorite Disney+ series debut on Star Tours! Ahsoka Tano, Cassian Andor, the Mandalorian and even fan-favorite Grogu may soon be part of your next Starspeeder flight.

Also important to note the following closures and refurbishments:

🐻 Country Bear Jamboree
💦 Tiana’s Bayou Adventure (opening dates hopefully coming soon!)

While we’re getting to know each other, let’s share some Walt Disney World Resort faves and must do’s!

So many people miss out on the nuances of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park because they think there’s not enough to do…but I couldn’t disagree more! To just scratch the surface:

🍣 Tuna Nachos at Yak and Yeti will forever be one of my favorite parts of visiting this park.
🐠 Finding Nemo: The Musical is a hidden gem that gets a bad rap! Fun Fact: In the Big Blue World makes an appearance in EPCOT on Living with the Seas with Nemo and Friends! 👂🏻
🦚 Seeing Kevin in person is indescribable! She roams around greeting guests in Discovery Isle and sometimes in Dinoland U.S.A. Watch out, she might try to eat your Mickey Ears!
🎢 Expedition Everest is a gorgeous thrill ride that takes you through the Himalayan Mountains aboard a train, while trying to avoid the legendary Yeti.
🐘 The Festival of the Lion King will always be my favorite show on Disney Property with larger-than-life puppetry, acrobatics, and the songs we know and love from the Lion King.
🦕 A not-so-best-kept-secret is the Restaurantosaurus Lounge located on the side of the quick service location. It’s air conditioned and close to the Dino Dig. Grab a cocktail and sit in the shade while your kids explore and dig away!
