God promises to bring the enslaved Israelites "unto a land flowing with milk and honey" (Ex. 3:8), but that's not the only thing they found when they entered the Promised Land under Joshua. HELLO FROM JOSHUA! Here's a pic ofJoshua's altar discovered on Mt. Ebal, incl. over 2500 bones of kosher animals that were sacrificed. Notice the use of uncut field stones as the Bible commands + ramp access (on right), keeping with the Torah prohibition of steps in order to avoid immodest exposure of the body. Here is what Joshua 8 says: "Then Joshua built on Mount Ebal an altar to the Lord, the God of Israel, 31 as Moses the servant of the Lord had commanded the Israelites. He built it according to what is written in the Book of the Law of Moses—an altar of uncut stones, on which no iron tool had been used. On it they offered to the Lord burnt offerings and sacrificed fellowship offerings."

In Israel tonight we gather for Passover in a multi-generational celebration of the divinely given gift of freedom. The story is universal and as relevant today as in Bible times and Jesus' day. Egypt - Mitzrayim in Hebrew - literally means "narrow / confined place" Even the most "free" of us need liberation from that which prevents us from living the fullness, joy, and blessing of life. Blessed Passover and Easter to all from Jerusalem!

Blessed Passover and Easter from Jerusalem... Here we are making home-made Matza or unleavened bread... The whole process, from the moment water is mixed with flour, must not take more than 18 minutes! In Luke 22:9 we read, "Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, Go and make preparations for us to eat the Passover."

"...and she gave birth to her first born son. She wrapped him with cloths and placed him in a manger" (Luke 2:7) This Star of Bethlehem in the 1500 year old Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem marks the spot where Jesus was born. Was recently there with a group of pilgrims. Hope to show it to you soon! Merry Christmas!

Hanukkah is such a beautiful holiday and it all happened HERE- in Jerusalem, over 2000 years ago! It's even mentioned in the New Testament: "Then came the Festival of Dedication at Jerusalem. It was winter..." (Jn. 10:22)
