⚠️ SCAM ALERT: FAKE CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBERS TARGETING CRUISERS & TRAVELERS! ⚠️

My travel tribe, we need to talk about a scam that’s making the rounds and costing unsuspecting travelers hundreds of dollars. Scammers are buying up Google search terms and creating fake 800 numbers that appear to be the customer service lines for cruise lines, airlines, and vacation companies.

Here’s how it works:
🚢 A guest has a question about their cruise or vacation.
🔍 They do a quick Google search for “Carnival Customer Service” or “Royal Caribbean Phone Number.”
📞 They call what looks like the right number but is actually a scammer.
💸 The scammer asks the right questions to sound legitimate—then claims the guest “owes” $200-$800 before they can proceed.

💥 And just like that, money is gone.

How to Protect Yourself (and Your Clients!):

✅ Go directly to the official website of the cruise line, airline, or travel provider to find their contact number.
✅ If a rep ever asks for an immediate payment to “proceed” with your request—HANG UP. This is not how real customer service works.
✅ Book with a trusted travel advisor (like me! 😎), and we can verify any issues directly with the correct contacts.
✅ If in doubt, call your travel advisor first—we can confirm if you’re dealing with the real company or a scam.

⚠️ Fellow travel agents, please share this with your clients. Many well-meaning guests assume Google search results are safe—this is how scammers are cashing in. Let’s keep our clients informed and protected!

People are using Autocomplete to apologize, and the results are rather freaky.

Type "I'm sorry for being" and let your keyboard finish the apology.

As for me: I'm sorry for being a pain, but I'm so glad you're having the chance you are having, what you are looking forward for the next day and night to get to the point of doing this.
