We have the contacts and we have the local knowledge of what to see and how to get you there. What sets us apart from other tourist companies is that we will work with you to understand exactly what it is you want from your visit and will aim to be as flexible as possible in meeting your requirements. If you want mountain excursions, a tour of the main sites, churches and monasteries,a visit to the main conflict areas of the Abkhaz-Georgian war, or just a sun, sea and sand holiday, we can offer advice and the means do give you what you want. We can give you the personal touch by meeting you at the airport in Sochi, or at the Ingur border with Georgia to transfer you to your accommodation, which will have been arranged by us before your arrival. We will be on call to answer your questions and give advice to make your time here enjoyable and informative. We have a deep love of this country that we want to share with you, so you can really appreciate why Abkhazia is such a special part of, not only the Caucasus region, but the whole world. We are a young married couple - British born wife, Gunda (myself), and Abkhazian husband, Astamur, living in the capital of Abkhazia, Sukhum. For years I've been coming to Abkhazia with my family as my mother herself is an Abkhazian from the town of Ochamchira, which is situated 50km from the Ingur border with Georgia. I've been living here with my husband and daughter for over a year now. We're a happy little family living a calm peaceful life on the black sea coast, surrounded by heartwarming, hospitable folk who are always more than happy to lend a helping hand. We enjoy walks on the sea front, not only in the swealtering heat of the summer months, but even in the autumn and winter when the sun is still shining, the skies are clear blue and the snow capped mountains are visible all around overhead. It is a pleasure to wake up to such beauty every morning. Over the years When I was just a visitor to the country and now a resident, I have been able to witness firsthand how this country has overcome all the odds in its struggle after the war with Georgia and is regenerating itself to become once again a tourist hotspot of the former Soviet bloc. We've seen that year after year the influx of Russian tourists visiting is huge and this summer saw an notable increase in the number of Europeans crossing the border, so with only 2 years to go before the 2014 winter Olympics takes place just over the border in Sochi, there is even more potential to increase this number further. The most difficult part for anyone wanting to visit Abkhazia from abroad is actually getting here, or understanding the process of how to get here. We want to create an organisation that will ease this process. As a side project to this, we are in the process of constructing a small guesthouse with basic facilities in Astamur's hometown, Ochamchira. We hope we will be able to accept bookings for the summer once building work is complete. In short, You will never feel lost with English speaking guides and us as your first port of call for any worries you may have before your journey and during your time here. We assure you that you will really feel the true essence of what is Abkhazian hospitality as there is nothing more valuable to an Abkhazian than their guests!!!!!
