"Marilyn is the type of employee that comes to work and does her job without fail. Recently a customer had technical difficulties and de-activated 2 SAP users and Marilyn was the only one to have access to SAP. She prioritized and made sure there was work (orders, process orders, etc.) to process out of SAP. There were times we were lined up at her desk to request labels, paperwork, etc., and she never failed to stay with the flow and did this all while keeping up with her daily duties."

"In early January, Colton made a trip to Bayonne where he would spend the next 5 weeks helping their team learn their WebRF system and working whatever hours were needed (including weekends) and he did it all with a smile. He made the ultimate sacrifices and did it without hesitation for the betterment of the company and also made a HUGE impact to the Bayonne team."

"Donna has never said, "No way!" when she could have and has always tried to make it work somehow. She is willing to question potential problems and that, to me at least, is a strength. Congrats to Jason Moyers for being named Employee of the Month for December 2023! Jason, Warehouse Professional for Peoples Cartage, Inc. in Parkersburg, WV, was nominated for his quick, heroic actions.

"On his way to work one morning, Jason was flagged down by a distraught woman saying a truck had run off of the road. Upon further inspection, Jason saw a truck had hit a patch of ice and slid off of the road, turning upside down in a creek off of a steep embankment. Without hesitation, he jumped into the creek and tried to free the man, but the driver's side door wouldn't open and the truck was quickly filling up with water. He then made his way to the passenger side and was able to get the door open enough to free the trapped man! This all took place before fire or EMS arrived. Because of his quick actions Jason most likely saved this man's life. Just wanted to share the type of employees we all have working here at Peoples Cartage!"

Meet Tim Good. Tim joined the TDI team in April of 2022 as a CDL spotter at the ES3 yard. He recently changed positions and is now the Float driver for 2nd shift. As a Float driver, he takes care of numerous customers when additional help is needed that may be out of the norm.

When asked if he had any advice for new drivers, he had this to say, “Don’t get too concerned about making overtime because it equals out at the end of the day.”

Meet Steven Miller. Steven has been a part of the TDI team since July of 2023. When Steven first started, he was on the Amcor Flexibles shuttle account for 2nd shift. He recently moved on to 1st shift to continue taking care of the same customer. He has stepped up on several occasions and is always willing to help with other accounts when the drivers ask for help.

Meet Alex Erfman. Alex joined the TDI team in March of 2023 as a spotter at the ES3 yard. Alex recently received his CDL with Trainco and is now running Fremont’s Graham Heinz account on 3rd shift. He is always willing to learn other accounts and can always be relied on whenever coverage is needed.

When asked if he had any advice for new drivers, he had this to say, “Do the right thing, make sure you’re doing your checks, take your time, and learn from other experienced drivers.”

Meet Mike Fulton. Mike joined the TDI team in June of 2022 as he was freshly qualified as a CDL driver through Trainco. He recently participated in the “Things That Go” event in downtown Fremont in August and had a great interaction with everyone who visited the TDI tent.

When asked Mike if he had any advice for new drivers, he had this to say, “Be honest, always be willing to learn, and know that with the difficult times tasks do become easier.”

Meet Dean Fitzsimmons. Dean obtained his CDL license 31 years ago and has been an employee of Peoples Cartage since 1994 – over 29 years! When not driving, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and smoking various types of meat.

When asked if he had any advice for new drivers, he had this to say, "Always be thankful that you are working. It is important to always be safe and cautious. Even though you may be running the same route for years, it will change every day!"

Congrats to Chris Bruno for being named Employee of the Month for April 2023! Chris, Transload Operator at P-C Sales & Service in Barberton, OH, was nominated for representing the very best of Operators.

"Chris is always wanting to learn new things: SAP, inventories, billing, etc. His work is of the highest quality. He checks and double checks the paperwork for errors, which is vital when dealing with hazardous materials and food grade. He is very industrious and takes the initiative and outside carriers often comment how much they enjoy loading at our facility because of him. Often times the people that work behind the scenes, like Chris, aren’t as visible as our folks in customer service, so they go unrecognized. Chris is definitely one of those “hidden gems” that deserves recognition!"

"Chad recently suggested to change the formatting of the inbound confirmations to make the product information on the receipt easier to read. This resulted in making the confirmation faster to post which in turn saved valuable time. He shows up to work every day and is typically early which is a rarity these days."
