Electricity is very inexpensive in Iceland due to the geothermic wells available around the island, which also provides hot water and heating for most areas.

There are no McDonalds or Starbucks anywhere in Iceland.

features the graceful frigate bird that I spotted in .

- They're nicknamed the "Pirates of the Sky" because they harass other seabirds into dropping their food mid-air
- They have the longest wingspan-to-body-weight ratio of any bird, allowing them to glide on air currents.
- They have a bright red throat pouch that they use for courtship displays.

Happy Saturday! I figured it was about time I re-introduce myself for new followers! My name is Pamela, and I've been traveling the world for over a decade. I've been to 42 countries on 7 continents, and I don't plan on slowing down anytime soon. I get lost pretty much anywhere, hence the nickname. Here are some fun facts about me.

- My favorite place to visit was Antarctica.
- My favorite country to visit is Ireland (been 3x and would go again tomorrow!)
- Biggest advice to travelers: Try the food!
- Where do I recommend everyone go at least once? African safari

My next few trips: St. Louis in October, Cruise with MSC Cruises to the Caribbean in December, and India in April.

Let me know if you have any questions :)
