364lbs!!! That’s how much garbage we collected in 1 hour. (267 lbs on land; 74 lbs underwater).

This year’s haul outstripped last year’s in both categories by a total of of 173lbs. There’s still much more to do!!!

The International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) event is annually coordinated by the Caribbean Network for Integrated Rural Development (CNIRD). Trinidad & Tobago Eco-Divers Club (TTEDC) is part of the National Planning Committee. This year, the TTEDC was exceedingly proud to partner with the Maple Leaf International School’s Scuba Club and students of the St Francois Girls College at Macqueripe Bay, Chaguaramas. Special thanks to the Chaguaramas Development Authority (CDA) and TT Defence Force for their accommodations.

Our Story

The Trinidad & Tobago Eco-Divers Club (TTEDC) is the first eco-diving club in this country. The club was founded by persons who love and appreciate the beauty and diversity of the marine environment. As such, it is not a diving enterprise and therefore stands apart from other commercial dive operators. The club was registered as a non-governmental organization (NGO) in 2011. Members help to promote the importance of marine preservation through field trips, educational outreaches and displays. The TTEDC continues to form strategic partnerships with organizations that advance marine causes. The club actively participates in the Ocean Conservancy’s International Coastal Cleanup every year.

Become a member today! Club members enjoy getting priority listed for club events/activities; discounted rates for training sessions, t-shirts and gear rental rates (coming soon).
