Traveling is therapeutic for your healing!

After being diagnosed with what men calls “an incurable disease” my whole life changed, but after getting over the shock of it, God healed me from silent depression, so I began to hear wisdom in hopes of resetting my body thru a process of reverting it back into divine health! I was always very active, in pretty good shape as I stayed in the gym working out, and I was independent and self sufficient, so having to become extremely dependent was a very hard pill to swallow, but I’m also an overcomer!

I had to make a decision to stay in bed and feel sorry for myself or get up, crawl out of the bed, stagger throughout my home and find a way to live thru this chronic pain and disabling impairments, so I chose to fight the good fight of my faith.

I’ve always wanted to travel and I’ve been a few places, so after getting married to Don in 2008 he took me to his hometown out of the USA and into Nassau Bahamas and I think that really triggered something! I need to explore other places, see how other people live, and enjoy another level of my life. I thought this illness was going to be a “no way” for me, like doctors have said to me about other aspirations, but it caused me to press even more to live and enjoy life with my husband, so God began showing me ways to assist with the mobility issues that results from this condition, and even thought everything I do hurts 24/7 and is soooo very painful, the blessed part is, I’m doing it! I’m actually traveling and living my dream! Praise God!

This is not a business, but a means to give back and help others find affordable travel to fit their budgets. I just wanted to let you know that we are not travel agents nor desire to become one. We just want to share our travel experiences with you, so that one day your travel dreams will come true, too.

Westgate Resorts was introduced at a time we were ready to invest in travel opportunities, so that I (especially) can have affordable and safe ways to travel, while challenged with disabling impairments, so what we promote on FaceBook is just a “give back” opportunity to help others find very nice, cost effective travel experiences like we have; whether you invest into your own time sharing unit or not, just pick up the phone, give them our discount code, take the tour (schedule on your last day, hint, hint) and enjoy a few affordable days away from your daily norm, with your family or spouse! It is worth it, aren’t you?

As Westgate owners, we found out that there are other travel opportunities within this network that a lot of owners don’t take advantage of, so we’ve connected with them as well to have an even more widespread traveling experience. We also, join other hotel chains, rental car agencies, etc to give us a plethora of affordable options to get the therapeutic rest I need, which helps promote healing! A Win, Win!

Everytime we travel, I do require mobility assistance, so I’m escorted thru the airport or Don pushes me with my rollator, we either get affordable rental cars, use Uber/Lyft in the area, afford a personal travel guide/assistance, and we even pay for mega bus tours, which is where I get lots of awesome pics everywhere we travel. I just wanted to share a bit of our blessing with you, so that it can encourage those challenged as I have been, to believe God and ask for directions in how to make the best ravel decisions for you or your loved ones who may need mobility assistance, but want to get out of the house. It’s necessary!

So, travel doesn’t have to be expensive, but you do need to put in some time, effort, and leg work to find terrific opportunities for the best getaway.
