Armchair World Explorers Discover new worlds and cultures from the comfort of your home, through movies, photography, music, In a nutshell we will celebrate life.

Armchair World Exploring is basically being transported to destinations which include our imagination without actually leaving your seat--or kitchen, or office, or wherever you happen to be situated. The most common armchair exploration methods are through: the internet, movies, music, books, pictures, etc. But there are other ways to discover a place without physically going there. Food, drinks,

language, art and news stories are all methods of learning, providing want-to-be travelers with the means to venture around the world, even if they cannot find the time or the money to actually do it. Armchair World Explorers will share interesting stories, movies, music, events, news, we discover on the internet and beyond. We will celebrate our cultural differences as well as our similarities.

National parks across the country are experiencing warmer temperatures; Denali and other Alaska parks have faced warming at double the average U.S. rate. Denali National Park and Preserve will continue to serve as a living laboratory so we can understand how warming temperatures impact park resources (like glaciers) and to show how our decisions affect the environment as each of us decides whether or not to . Read more about Alaska climate impacts in the National Climate Assessment: http://nca2014.globalchange.gov/highlights/regions/alaska.

Want to know more about rising temperatures? Post a question in the comments and we will respond to on-topic, relevant inquiries about rising temperatures in parks. This is impact #3 in our Climate Change Impacts in Parks series; watch the series grow at 125029725@N07/sets/72157644746438950/." rel="ugc" target="_blank">http://www.flickr.com/photos/125029725@N07/sets/72157644746438950/.

We celebrated the first day of summer with a fun walking tour of Community & School Gardens in Burlington's Old North End. Folks from around the country - and world - visited the Archibald and Riverside neighborhood gardens, the Myrtle Street Avant Garden and the gardens at The Integrated Arts Academy at H.O. Wheeler and Sustainability Academy at Lawrence Barnes Elementary. The tour was part of the joint 2014 conference of the Association for the Study of Food and Society and the Agriculture, Food and Human Values Society held at UVM. Big thanks to all the participants and the inspiring garden leaders at each site for making it such a great day.
