Wilderness Shack Welcome to the Wilderness Shack! Here we will be sharing our knowledge of the outdoors. Backpacking, hiking, outdoor navigation, Geocaching and such.

Back in the late '60's-early 70's, my parents ran a backpacking supply store named the "Wilderness Shack" one function of the store was outdoor instruction in hiking, backpacking, cross country skiing and rock climbing. Over the years we have made a lot of friends who are experienced in these and other fields. This site is where we want to help others develop a love for all things outdoors. So come on up on the porch grab a rocker and join in!
