Ο Mozart συνέθεσε τη συμφωνία το 1773, όταν ήταν μόλις 17 ετών.
Αν και πρόκειται για ένα από τα πρώιμα έργα του Mozart, αποκαλύπτει ήδη το εξαιρετικό του ταλέντο και την ωριμότητα της μουσικής του σκέψης.
Η συμφωνία είναι γεμάτη ζωηράδα, γρήγορους ρυθμούς και έντονες δυναμικές αντιθέσεις.

Dozens of academics and researchers from Greece, Australia, and around the world are participating in the 4th International Conference on the Greek Diaspora titled “Synchronistic and Diachronic Aspects of the Greek Diaspora IV”. The proceedings, held both remotely and in-person, will conclude tomorrow, Friday, July 12, 2024, with the final conference day taking place at the facilities of the University of Macedonia.

The in-person sessions of the third conference day will begin at 9 AM Greek time, in the "Professor Elias I. Kouskouvelis" Conference Hall, where the delegates will be welcomed by the Vice-Rector for Outreach and International Relations of the University of Macedonia, Professor Alexandros Chatzigeorgiou, who will deliver a greeting.

Among the topics discussed at the 4th International Conference on the Greek Diaspora are issues concerning history, literature, migration, religion, culture, and daily life, with extensive discussions on Greek language education and the promotion of Greek studies and the Greek language in the Diaspora.

The conference is co-organized by one Australian and two Greek universities: Charles Darwin University, the University of the Aegean, and the University of Macedonia. The first conference day took place on Friday, May 31, 2024, with in-person attendance at Charles Darwin University in Darwin, the capital of the Northern Territory of Australia. The second was held on Saturday, June 29, 2024, in Rhodes at the University of the Aegean, and the third and final will be tomorrow at the University of Macedonia in Thessaloniki.

Πανεπιστήμιο Μακεδονίας University of Macedonia

Δεκάδες πανεπιστημιακοί και ερευνητές από την Ελλάδα, την Αυστραλία και τον υπόλοιπο κόσμο συμμετέχουν στο 4ο Διεθνές Συνέδριο για την Ελληνική Διασπορά με τίτλο «Συγχρονικές και Διαχρονικές Όψεις της Ελληνικής Διασποράς IV». Οι εργασίες του, που διεξάγονται τόσο εξ αποστάσεως όσο και με φυσική παρουσία, θα ολοκληρωθούν αύριο, Παρασκευή 12 Ιουλίου 2024, με την τελευταία συνεδριακή ημέρα να πραγματοποιείται στις εγκαταστάσεις του Πανεπιστημίου Μακεδονίας.

Οι διά ζώσης εργασίες της τρίτης συνεδριακής ημέρας θα αρχίσουν στις 9 το πρωί ώρα Ελλάδος, στην Αίθουσα Συνεδρίων «Καθηγητή Ηλία Ι. Κουσκουβέλη», όπου τους συνέδρους θα καλωσορίσει ο Αντιπρύτανης Εξωστρέφειας και Διεθνών Σχέσεων του Πανεπιστημίου Μακεδονίας, καθηγητής Αλέξανδρος Χατζηγεωργίου και θα απευθύνει χαιρετισμό.

Μεταξύ των θεμάτων που εξετάζονται στο 4ο Διεθνές Συνέδριο για την Ελληνική Διασπορά, είναι ζητήματα που αφορούν την ιστορία, τη λογοτεχνία, την μετανάστευση, τη θρησκεία, τον πολιτισμό και την καθημερινή ζωή, ενώ γίνεται εκτενής συζήτηση για την ελληνόγλωσση εκπαίδευση και την προώθηση των ελληνικών σπουδών και της ελληνικής γλώσσας στη Διασπορά.

Το συνέδριο συνδιοργανώνεται από ένα αυστραλιανό και δύο ελληνικά πανεπιστήμια: το Πανεπιστήμιο «Charles Darwin», το Πανεπιστήμιο Αιγαίου και το Πανεπιστήμιο Μακεδονίας. Η πρώτη συνεδριακή ημέρα διεξήχθη την Παρασκευή 31 Μαΐου 2024 με φυσική παρουσία στο Πανεπιστήμιο «Charles Darwin», στην πρωτεύουσα της Βόρειας Επικράτειας της Αυστραλίας, το Ντάργουιν. Η δεύτερη πραγματοποιήθηκε το Σάββατο 29 Ιουνίου 2024 στη Ρόδο και το Πανεπιστήμιο Αιγαίου, ενώ η τρίτη και τελευταία θα είναι αυτή που θα διεξαχθεί αύριο, στο Πανεπιστήμιο Μακεδονίας, στη Θεσσαλονίκη.

Η εξαιρετικά ενδιαφέρουσα αλληλογραφία του Pablo Picasso κατά τη διάρκεια της εξορίας του με τον κουρέα και φίλο του Eugenio Arias, ταξιδεύει για πρώτη φορά εκτός Ισπανίας. Μέσα από 98 έργα φωτίζεται η ταραχώδης περίοδος του εμφύλιου πολέμου στην Ισπανία και της μετέπειτα εποχής (1936-1952), όπως οι δεσμοί με τη Γαλλική Αντίσταση και το παράνομο Κομμουνιστικό Κόμμα της Ισπανίας.

Moni Lazariston Festival
--- Brief info about the Moni Lazariston:
Moni Lazariston is a Non – Profit Organization running under the auspices of Hellenic Ministry of Culture.

It was founded in 1998 and is responsible for the maintenance and the administration of the whole complex.
Moni Lazariston complex accommodates five of the most significant cultural organizations of Thessaloniki : the National Theatre of Northern Greece, the State Museum of Contemporary Art, the Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra, the Cultural Centre of Thessaloniki and the Drama school of the National Theatre of Northern Greece.
The Municipality of Stavroupoli Stavroupoli and the Prefecture of Thessaloniki also set out in the area.

Except for the events held by these organizations throughout the year, the Non-Profit Organization of Moni Lazariston organizes the Festival of Moni Lazariston in the open-air spaces of the complex during summer.
Moni Lazariston today offers a rich and multicultural program of entertainment while strengthening the metropolitan character as well as the Balkan and European identity of Thessaloniki .

- International Museum Day at the Teloglion Foundation

Teloglion Foundation celebrates the International Museum Day (Wednesday, May 18, 2022) with two free guided tours, at 18:00 and 20:00. The public will have the opportunity to enjoy up close the exhibitions "Gianoulis Halepas: Dounai kai Lavine" and "Katerina Halepa-Katsatou: in the footsteps of Gianoulis".
