It is 40 minutes far from Comitan. It is an ecoturistic Park that is part of La trinitaria.

This archaeological site is located in La trinitaria
The archaeological zone was a civic and religious center, probably a ruler center of the region in the Late Classical (700-900 A.D) else, it was occupied until the early post-classical (900 a 1200 A.D).
When you arrive to the archaeological zone you can find four pyramids (The pyramid of the “Guajil”, pyramid of the Wind God, The pyramid of Tombs, and the pyramid of Vessels) it is only possible to climb up to one that the pyramid of Guajil Also, there is a ball game.

This archaeological site is located in "La trinitaria"
In the Tojolabal language it means "our little mountain"
Chinkultic also stands out as a site of Mayan Highlands.
The presence of ceramic type "Plumbate Tohil" was widely distributed in Mesoamerica, especially in places with Toltec influence.
Chronology: 50 a. 1200 C. d. C.
Main chronological location: Epiclassic, 750-900 d. C.

TEMPLE OF SAN JOSÈ
The Temple of San Jose located in the neighborhood of the same name was built in the twentieth century at the behest of the ladies Roman, Rosa and Mercedes who donated the land and cared for their construction, the first stone was laid on September of 1910 by the Excellency Bishop Francisco Orozco and Jiménez and was completed in 1924.
The temple architecture both in its facade and the interior has the essential characteristics of Gothic an unique style in the State. We also appreciate the beautiful Byzantine stained glass windows which are placed on the sides of the nave where it is staged the life of Jesus which were donated by families devoted to this temple.

TEMPLE OF SANTO DOMINGO
The main temple of Comitàn, which has the patron of the city of Comitàn, located opposite the Central Park Benito Juarez, who also serves like atrium. Founded in 1556, XVI century by Dominican friars. Plateresco architectural style.
The temple looks simple but elegant, next to it stands a beautiful tower of subsequent construction, projecting from the facade, on its wall stands out blind arches of romantic style; style that was in the XVth century in Europe and the Spanish influence occurred here.
Inside the temple still retains its wide building, divided into three blocks without columns. The architectural style in the temple is neoclassical.

The neoclassical building that houses it, was originally a private home in the midnineteenth century, owned by Don Manuel Robledo Escandon. Later It was reinstated as theater and opened on January 1st of 1932 under the name of Theatre Belisario dominguez. In 1940 there was a fire that left it in ruins that is why it was renovated to accommodate the Cinema Montebello. It is in 1985 when the Government of the State of Chiapas acquires it to install the City Theatre, it was opened on June 10th 1987 as Theatre Junchavin.

The Museum of Modern Art Hermila Castellanos Dominguez opened on August 28, 1988.

The museum has a temporary exhibit called Rufino Tamayo, in honor of the Oaxacan teacher where are held exhibitions of painters from the region and other parts of the country, photography, sculpture, nativity scenes, etc.

The permanent collection of paintings consists of works by Rufino Tamayo, José Luis Cuevas, José Guadalupe Posada, Francisco Toledo, Gunther Gerszo, Luis Zárate, as well as a major exhibition of the work of featured chiapanecos painters and oaxaqueños, as Ariel Mendoza Baños, Juan Alcázar Méndez, Jorge García López, Cecilio Sanchez, Justina Fuentes, Felipe Morales, Fernando Olivera, Irma Guerrero, Manuel Suaznávar and Rodolfo Morales, among others.

Tenam in nahuatl means fortification and the word Puente comes from a estate that existed at the beginning of the century.
Tenam Puente illustrates us the greatness of our roots. This archaeological site is located in an old estate to the south of the Francisco Sarabia populated.
Tenam Puente is a Mayan city, it belonged to the postclassic period. It was built on a mountain over the comiteca plains; the main pyramid is in the far east of the terrace; the minor pyramid is in the far southwest of the terrace; the place is made up of three Mayan ball games; the area covers about 25 kms where they were built many religious constructions as well as civic buildings and housing.

Belisario Domínguez Palencia was a doctor and liberal politician. He served as senator and gave a memorable speech in the Congress against the dictator Victoriano Huerta, for which he was murdered.

In 1909, he was elected mayor of Comitán. In 1912, Leopoldo Gout and he ran for a seat in the Senate (Domínguez as substitute senator); when Gout died, Domínguez replaced him. In 1913 he gave a speech in Congress against the dictator Victoriano Huerta and as a result he was murdered in Mexico City by Gilberto Márquez, Alberto Quiroz, José Hernández Ramírez, Gabriel Huerta, and Dr Aureliano Urrutia who chopped off Domínguez's tongue.
