Can you believe it has been 5 years!😲

August 1 marked the 5 year Anniversary of Beyond the Blue Travel. It seems like just yesterday I was sitting in my basement working on supplier training to better understand cruising, all-inclusive resorts, Europe, and so much more. Wait🤔.....that was yesterday, except this time it was to expand my knowledge and understanding of an amazing way to explore Europe, River Cruising. Anyway, I digress.

Who would have thought we would have come as far as we have in just 5 short years. From a rocky start with a global pandemic to an absolute resurgence of travel following, Beyond the Blue Travel has been there with you every step of the way. Our success has only been made possible by our amazing loyal clients who often refer their friends and family to us. We can not express our gratitude enough to you.

Another beautiful day in Roatan. The Forever Blue Cruise has finally reached our first port of call after two full days at sea. Time to get out and explore alittle.

We did a little duck hunting with our group. Like duck hunting, Day 1 was successful. Day 2 not so much.

Yesterday we celebrated the 1st known Walk for a Cure at Sea to support Type 1 Diabetes. This event was designed to raise money for JDRF and the continuation of diabetes research. This small group raised $7,921 for JDRF and had a wonderful time onboard the Wonder of the Seas.

We met with the Seranade of the Seas in Coco Cay today. The Seranade just departed on the Ultimate World Cruise. A 274 day, 60 country, 7 continent, and over 150 ports adventure visiting over 11 wonders of the world. Now that sounds like an amazing trip.

We are just 3 weeks away from our first Cruising for a Cure Event on the Wonder of the Seas. As part of the event we are fundraising for JDRF. We would appreciate any support you can give towards the cause.

I'm fundraising for JDRF because I believe in their vision of a world without type 1 diabetes (T1D). Learn more about what I'm doing and how you can help!

Our 3rd and 4th game drives were decisively the best we had. Our 3rd game drive which was in the afternoon on Friday, has us up close and personal with a White Rhino out for a stroll and 2 white rhinos out for a quick mud bath. I will post the videos as soon as I can, but the still photos will have to do for know.

Our last drive of my stay proved to be the best yet. Not only were we able to locate the pride of lions we had been tracking, they decided to grace us with their presence no more then 50 to 100 feet from our vehicles. A total of 7 lions in all where in the area. We then were treated to 3 different animals in the same area, a white Rhino, a herd of Zebra, and two Wildebeests. But that was not all. We had the opportunity to locate the herd of 7 elephants that I believe we saw two days earlier.

While this was a short trip to South Africa, it certainly did not disappoint. Our Ranger/ Master Guide, Eddie from Mbazo Safari Lodge was the best. He had the patience and understanding of the animals to know where to go and when to wait. Because of this we were treated to an amazing experience. It would not have been the same without him. I will be back and look forward to an even longer stay to explore this amazing land next time.

I will be going back to this resort in the future and hoping to bring others with us. Who's interested? Until then, here are the last few photos from my game drives.
