Blackpool has claimed the top spot as the friendliest large destination in the UK, according to a recent study.

The beloved seaside town earned an impressive score of 79.9 out of 100, beating places like Brighton, York, and Edinburgh 👏

We are delighted to announce that we're teaming up with Hits Radio, one of the UK’s leading media companies for this year's Switch-On!

Taking place on the Tower Festival Headland, the show will be freely accessible to the public with no tickets or ballot required.

Here's what you can expect:

💡 This year’s show will start with a Blackpool Introduces session featuring some of the best of Blackpool’s local music talent

💡 The main event will be a two-hour show hosted by Hits Radio featuring a line-up of some top music talent

💡 The celebration will finish with the iconic Switch-On moment when a celebrity will pull the switch to trigger four months of Illuminations

Switch-On night is one of the biggest nights in our events calendar which attracted a record crowd of 80,000 on to the seafront last year.
