Maryland is one of our Night Auditors, she has been working at Crown Reef for more than 2 years. She never needs help when she works and she is excellent at training new auditors! Ronnie is an energetic and hardworking person who likes to stay busy. Working as our sole maintenance tech at night, he handles all issues by himself. With a heart for hospitality, he is dedicated to keeping the guests happy. Whatever the job…no matter how big or messy, he is there and ready. Ronnie has only been with Sea Watch for nine months, but he has made a lasting impression and created a presence here that is truly appreciated. Donna’s duties and knowledge cover such a wide range of information. Almost all staff at one point or another seek out Donna daily for her knowledge and wisdom. Owners know her well and frequently call and schedule vendors, furniture deliveries, and items they would like to have completed. Duwayne is our Employee of the Month for May at Beach Cove!
Duwayne does anything that is asked of him. He makes sure all his rooms are done on time and is constantly making sure his room attendants have everything they need. The supervisors do not have to continually call him for items. Duwayne is currently helping with “special projects” in the housekeeping department. Last but not least, Duwayne “serves with a smile.” Congrats Duwayne on this well-deserved award!

Today we had the honor of presenting a check to American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer for $39,549.01, which was raised in the fall through the annual Beach Walk 5k that brought the community and visitors together for such an important cause. Fundraising was also done at the properties, through an online auction and through a ticket sales fundraiser with WonderWorks Myrtle Beach.

Jon is the outstanding employee for January at Ocean Creek Resort!

Jon has been with the VMB Family since 2018, he started at Beach Colony Resort, then transferred over to Ocean Creek with us in 2022. Since coming over to Ocean Creek Resort he has become a big key part in the maintenance department. Jon does not hesitate to assist wherever help is needed. He assists with training of new maintenance techs and will give a hand to any department that needs something. The word NO is not in Jon’s vocabulary, he will take on any task that is assigned to him and is always a positive person in our department. Jon has a great work ethic and attitude and is often requested by name when the homeowners need work done in their unit. He is a great asset to the team, and we are happy to have him as our January Employee of the Month! Congratulations Jon! 🎉

Tracy has been the Kitchen Manager at Loco Gecko Beach Shack for almost six years. He always has a great attitude and greets everyone with a smile. The employees Tracy supervises say that he is a pleasure to work with. Tracy's department head says that he is simply good all around. Jerome is not only reliable, but he is also efficient, personable, kind, well-liked and never says “no” when asked to perform a task. Mr. Robert M. has been with our team for 17 years. He is our reservation/PBX operator here at Beach Cove. His years of experience in customer service have shown us the true meaning of teamwork. He is always willing to help with every task he is given. He helps with the night shift as a lead agent to assist with customer service and ensure all guest feedback is addressed.

She does a great job of ensuring that the property's assets are secure through appropriate control measures sometimes for both hotel BLUE and Captain's Quarters simultaneously. Travis joined us in May of 2023 as the Front Desk Supervisor, making an immediate and sustained impact. He has embodied the Core Values, of which two always shine. Travis’ ability to “WOW by Exceeding Expectations” and to “Serve With a Smile” are constants in his guest service approach. His service with a smile is something you can see, but even more importantly – hear it and feel it. Travis is a great listener. Congrats to The Caravelle Resort's Employee of the Month for January - Jeff V.! Jeff has been with The Caravelle Resort for just over three years. Jeff received his CPO certification last year and has been working diligently to improve his overall skills related to the many bodies of water at The Caravelle. In addition to the normal daily tasks, Jeff has also stepped up to assist with the upkeep of seven floors at the main building, helping with trash runs and covering for staff who are unable to work. He does everything with a smile on his face and a great attitude! Great job Jeff!
