Designed To Be Strong D.T.B.S. “Designed To Be Strong” is not only a statement, it is also a way of life. It all started with a visit to my doctor that really heightened my awareness.

My dear friend Tina Banks and I came together to start not only a business but a movement. Our hope for this movement is to help people live a healthy and more balanced life style. I am a devoted stay-at-home mom with two handsome boys and a lovely husband who supports our vision. Our goal is to empower those who are dedicated to becoming the people God planned for them to be. n the spring of 2012, when I became fed up with being overweight and unhealthy. My weight had reached an all-time high at 276 lbs. After my doctor’s visit that day, I returned to my car with tears in my eyes. With the grace of God, through all those tears, I had an epiphany. I realized that I had to be better for myself and for my family. Every journey begins with one step so I started walking 15 minutes a day. Along with an increased walking regimen, I also began practicing better eating habits. Exercise, healthy eating and a positive mindset have made all the difference in my physical and mental transformation. This is the true essence of “Designed To Be Strong.”

Tina Banks is a devoted wife and mother of four beautiful daughters. She is currently a stay-at-home mother who not only loves serving her family, but also has a passion to help motivate others to reach their fitness goals. After the birth of her children, Tina created a workout regimen in an effort to avoid symptoms of depression, obesity and unhealthy eating habits, which are all prevalent in her family. In the beginning, the regimen included a brisk walk that progressed into jogging which eventually led to running. She has recently obtained her boot camp certification through Mania and is in the process of getting her personal training certification through AFAA as well.
