TODAY AT MISS WORLD | 2018

After careful deliberation and viewing of all multimedia videos from the contestants for two separate awards, a panel of Miss World Multimedia Experts including Mr Tang - deputy chief of Sanya Tourism came to a decision on who would be in the top 5 for the Sanya tourism video award based on creative content, use of various editing software and displaying knowledge of Sanya.

The 2nd was the overall Multimedia Award based on all social media platforms, audience engagement, creative content and influence.

Our Miss World 2018 Sanya Tourism Video Challenge results are in, here are your top 5.

HEAD TO HEAD CHALLENGE | FINAL RESULTS

After a record 2.2 billion views and 20 million votes by members of the public, in a captivating finale of the Head to Head challenge, a shortlist of 20 candidates took to the stage with 90 seconds to present to a panel of judges the work they are doing in their home countries to support Beauty with a Purpose.

The three judges included current Miss World 2017 title holder Manushi Chhillar (India), and former Miss Worlds Meghan Young (Philippines, 2013), and Stephanie Del Valle (Puerto Rico, 2016). The judges selected each contestant based on their public speaking abilities and the passion about their project that embodies Beauty with a Purpose.

Following each of the two presentations, the judges had to make a decision about which contestant would be guaranteed a place in the top 30 at the final on Saturday 8 December 2018 on the world’s biggest stage.

The ten Head to Head challenge winners are:

· Mauritius

· Venezuela

· Bangladesh

· Chile

· Malaysia

· India

· Singapore

· Thailand

· Mexico

· Uganda, who is the first ever Miss World Uganda to make it to the final 30

The Head to Head Challenge was introduced in 2017 and has continued to attract a huge audience online.

मिस वर्ल्ड प्रतिस्पर्धाका लागि चीनमा रहेकी मिस नेपाल श्रृंखला खतिवडा ‘हेड टू हेड च्यालेन्ज’ विधामा समूह विजेता बनेकी छिन्। याे सँगै उनी फाइनल राउन्डमा प्रवेश गरेकी छिन्।

समूह १३ मा रहेकी उनी ५ जना प्रतिस्पर्धीलाई पछि पार्दै मिस वर्ल्डको फाइनल राउन्डमा प्रवेश गरेकी हुन्। उनीसँगै २० सुन्दरी फाइनल राउन्डमा प्रवेश गरेका छन्।

प्रतिस्पर्धामा सहभागी १२१ देशका सुन्दरीलाई २० वटा समूह विभाजन गरी प्रतिस्पर्धा गराइएको थियो। श्रृंखला समूह १३ मा थिइन्। छोटो भिडियो र त्यसपछि ६ जना प्रतिस्पर्धीबीच सवाल जवाफ गरिएको थियो। श्रृंखलाले त्यो सवालमा दिएकाे जवाफका आधारमा उनले पाएको भोट समेत गणना गर्दै उनी समूह विजेता बन्न सफल भएकी हुन्।

From the colorful evening we spent yesterday for our last day at Haikou!
A week away from home ( Sanya feels like our home now 😊), we had a rather relaxed schedule. Mission hills treated us the best! I'll remember our coach rides, late night rehearsals, the school visit, Christmas carols, gloomy weather and occasional chills, bonding with Oishee (my room mate), the breakfast, steamed buns and spicy noodles at lunch and everything else.
Thank you Nepal, I will never have enough words to express my gratitude. The support is honestly, surreal! Lots and lots of love from Sanya ❤️

The happiness of meeting Nepali supports in a foreign land is priceless. Thank you so much for all the effort ❤️ Your good wishes and support means a lot to me.
On a different note, I realized something about our education system today. At talent, a lot of countries had representatives who had been singing, dancing or performing arts since the age of 2 or 3. They grew up with their passion. High time we need to realize that there is more to education than books. Along with pen and paper, we need to start handing them paint brushes and basketball, get them into dance classes, just let them learn that there's more to life than good grades in school. ❤️
Schools have been getting better, but we still have a long way to go. The case is even worse at public schools. Hope it changes soon because who knows, we might have a Ronaldo or a Picasso in those classes. 😊
