Michelle began her career in Travel in 1992, earning a Travel Counselor certificate from Rockford Business College and interning for her mentors and instructors at Rockford Travel while in school. The Certified Travel Counselor designation is conferred by The Travel Institute upon travel professionals who complete a rigorous certification program, demonstrate essential industry knowledge and experience, and maintain high standards of professionalism. She has also earned the Destination Specialist: Hawaii from the Travel Institute. Michelle's very first flight was to Shannon, Ireland at the age of 19, a dream trip. Ireland is a place Michelle holds very dear, she has visited Ireland twice and has explored much of the Erin Isle including the Gaelic speaking Aran Islands off the coast of Galway Bay. She has earned the designation from the Irish Tourist Board, and can teach you a little Gaelic too - céad míle fáilte - pronounced ~ kayd meeluh fall-tchuh (a hundred thousand welcomes). Michelle also holds certificates from Sandals, Couples, Master Agent Dreams & Secrets, Marriott, Hyatt Destination Specialist, Disney College of Knowledge graduate, Princess Cruise Line Commodore, Carnival Cruise Line University, Royal Caribbean WOW University, Norwegian Cruise Line NCLU, Dominican Republic and is a honeymoon specialist to name a few. Michelle has visited Australia, Ireland, England, Iceland, Mexico, Caribbean and most of the US including Alaska and Hawaii. In February 2010, Michelle added an enchanting island in the north to her list ... we have all come to know from the volcano eruptions...Iceland. She went snowmobiling on a glacier, which was an amazing experience, soaked in the Blue Lagoon and toured Reykjavik.
