People who come to Nova Scotia for the first time are often amazed how rocky out Atlantic coastine is. The Peggy's Cove area is visually stunning.

New visitors to Nova Scotia don't often realize how powerful the sea can be.
In Peggy's Cove, the high winds and heavy seas never disappoint to put on a spectacular show.
It was a chilly day on Oak Island yesterday at 7C (45F).
Think that's bad? I've got sow flurries here now.
Looked like there was some activity going on the island as there were a number of vehicles in the parking lot. I don't believe they had film crews there yesterday based on what I saw.
Believe I saw Scott Barlow in Mahone Bay later on but not 100% sure.
Recently, I went on vacation to Florida and made a visit to the Mel Fisher Maritime Museum in Key West, Florida.
I had been interested in visiting this museum after having learned about Mel Fisher in the television show, "Beyond Oak Island", that had several episodes regarding his search for the Spanish galleon ship, "Atocha".
Unfortunately, I was very ill the day I visited the museum and don't remember much about it as a result. I did manage to take a number of pictures which are shown below.
The legacy of the original Bluenose lives to this day.
It’s successor, Bluenose II, makes Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, its home port.
On this day in 1946, Bluenose sank off the coast of Haiti.
During the Second World War, North Atlantic shipping lanes were shut down, and there were no more International Fisherman's Races.
In 1942, Bluenose was sold to the West Indies Trading Company to ferry goods throughout the Caribbean.
On January 28, 1946, the ship hit a coral reef off the Haitian island Île-à-Vache and sank. No lives were lost, but the ship was never recovered.
Here is Bluenose pictured during the last International Fisherman's Race, romping across the finish line.

Show one of Canada’s most impressive National Historic Sites your support!
Did you know that in the 1860s, the Citadel's signal gun was fired twice? Once at noon and once in the evening. Show of hands for who would love us to bring that back! 🙋🏻♂️
Louisbourg, Nova Scotia is one of Canada's most beautiful National Historic Sites. Originally founded in 1713, the French fortress town became one of the largest and most expensive French settlements in North America.
Today, 25% of the original settlement exists, thanks to reconstruction efforts made by Parks Canada in the 1960's - 1970's.
If you should find yourself in the Cape Breton region of Nova Scotia, Louisbourg is a must see for anyone interested in early Canadian history.
A very stoic sentry on guard duty this morning at the Halifax Citadel.
The "Curse Of Oak Island" isn't the only filming taking place in the South Shore region of Nova Scotia.
While on tour in Lunenburg, filming for an 8-part Disney series called, "Washington Black", began yesterday along the waterfront area.
I was told that the series will likely be aired on the Disney Plus streaming service sometime next year.
Pleased that we were able to contribute to this article in one of Canada's largest newspapers on the coming cruise ship season in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Beautiful day on Oak Island today! It was an absolutely balmy 10 C. It's practically summer already...😉 Just a few moments after this video was taken, Tom Nowlan made his way across the causeway. No other activity spotted on the Island.
Nova Scotia's Bay of Fundy is home to the highest tides in the world, reaching upwards to 52'! Witness the Bay of Fundy's famous tidal bore, where a standing wave of water occurs at the front of the incoming tide, a unique phenomenon that is found only in several locations around the world. #visitnovascotia #novascotia #explorecanada
Here's a follow-up video to the one I posted last night. Here, you can clearly see where one side of the bay is frozen and the other is not. I'm lead to believe by others that prior to the construction of the causeway, the area was completely free of ice.
Calm before yet another storm! At Oak Island, it was a balmy 9C today, compared to -21C in my home town of Truro, several days ago. Who said Nova Scotia was boring? lol
Oak Island definitely has an unusual feel to it sometimes. Although there is something beyond just the mystery of the alleged buried treasure. The frequent fog layer that envelopes the island no doubt contributes to its aura. Here's a little Halloween "treat" for all of you ..
On tour today and dropped in to Oak Island for my guests to take some pictures from afar. Well, who should I spot coming onto the island other Than Rick Lagina! He didn’t stop to chat but he kindly returned a wave as he drove on by. Couldn’t get the camera up fast enough to video before he drove by. lol
The last few days have had amazing weather in the South Shore of Nova Scotia. Yesterday, was no different. For those who have never been to Oak Island, here's a short video from the entrance of Randall Pt. Rd. up to the causeway connecting the mainland to Oak Island.
Went to Queensland Beach this morning at high tide. Wanted to take some video for Anchor Tour’s upcoming YouTube channel.
