Revolutionizing the culture at large, one heart at a time
until everyone on earth knows and lives the love that is in Jesus Christ. In the past five years, More than Music has produced over 75 free concerts in correctional and treatment facilities, has supported social service ministries through benefit concerts; raising over $110,000 for worthy causes since 2010, and has served as an independent
sending agency for like-hearted musicians, artists and missions projects. Through this work, and our shared art and multimedia, ministries have been strengthened, millions have heard the message of hope and forgiveness, and lives have been transformed by Christ. HISTORY
7769256862 7d96aae225 b the Mission More than Music was founded in 2003 by singer/songwriter, Stephanie Pauline. Stephanie endured many challenges in her youth and went through a period she refers to as five years of darkness, during which she was addicted to drugs, robbed people, dealt drugs, and had a crisis pregnancy. At the birth of her son, she had a personal reawakening, and afterwards found freedom from her addictions within the love and mercy of God. As she experienced forgiveness and freedom in her life, God gave her a vision of using music as a way to sing hope into hurting lives; a catalyst to share hope, love, forgiveness and freedom with people struggling with the same challenges she once faced. With songs played on over 500 radio stations around the world so far, and TV spots aired internationally through The 700 Club and other media centers, More than Music is having a growing impact in the world. MtM also currently sponsors free concerts in correctional facilities, juvenile detention centers, and chemical dependency centers. More than Music also hosts large-scale benefit concerts for worthy, partner nonprofits, raising thousands to further their work. VISION
More than Music has accomplished significant goals over the past five years; offering more than 75 free concerts at correctional facilities while sharing hope and forgiveness with thousands of people. In 2014, MtM plans to expand its efforts to share a life changing message of hope in 20 correctional and chemical dependency facilities while giving away over 700 free CD’s and Bibles. MtM is also working to plant Christ based mentoring programs in the 1280 juvenile detention centers across the United States through our Toy Soldier 1280 Program. More than Music is coming alongside other non-profit organizations that are making a difference in their community. Since 2010, More than Music has worked with juvenile justice ministries and organizations that provide housing and support for battered women, and victims of human trafficking; dramatically raising awareness and money for these impressive non-profits. MtM is looking to build on that success now in 2014. LONG TERM VISION
To expand the detention center ministry, the benefit concert aspect of MtM, and to recruit and send out more music missionaries and like-hearted ministers; facilitating their work through resources available to MtM. To further develop a library of culturally influential work through multimedia, and publishing. To build up, and equip an army of Christ-following artists. To serve those in need through strategic, social-evangelism projects, offering tangible help in the name of Jesus, in the US and around the world. CURRENT SERVICES
More than Music offers 3 primary services:
1. MINISTRY - Providing free concerts at correctional facilities, juvenile detention centers, and chemical dependency centers. Invigorating and Initiating Christ based mentoring programs in Juvenile Detention Centers in the US.
2013 GOALS:
a. In 2012 alone, spread a message of hope, love, and forgiveness to over 1500 residents living within the above facilities. Connect residents with mentors through continued partnership with Youth for Christ and other existing prison ministries. Drive the Toy Soldier 1280 Project forward. MtM is working with Youth for Christ nationally to help plant Christ-based mentoring programs in the 1280 juvenile detention centers across the country. MtM has created a viable vehicle for accomplishing this task. Established as a trusted resource for detention centers across the country after over 10 years of faithful service, MtM locates a willing, impassioned church in the locale of each detention center in need of such a program and then identifies a Champion who will spearhead this program in the facility in their area. MtM then puts on a vision casting concert in the church and recruits a team of mentors and leaders and plug them into the facility, by sharing another concert therein. Spinning the top and creating ongoing mentorship programs and support for the young people after the concert.
2. MONEY - Collaborating with other impactful non-profits to host large scale benefit concerts that raise money for their organizations; marrying ministry and money through the means of music. These events are made successful through intensive citywide, para-church promotional and organizational efforts. More than Music mitigates risk for the partner organization by putting up half the funds and walking them through the process of funding, planning, promoting, and producing a successful benefit concert.
2013 GOALS:
a. Host 1-2 large-scale benefit concerts, booking headliners with ample draw. More than Music gave/raised $20,000 net through 3 benefit concerts in 2010 alone. That number is set to expand exponentially in years to come. In April 2010 More than Music worked with an impressive non-profit, Breaking Free. Breaking Free provides housing and support to victims of human trafficking/ prostitution in St. Proceeds of another concert put on by More than Music Spring 2011 benefitted hurting young people in detention centers, Southern CO Youth for Christ; raising $15,000 net for their cause. Establish ourselves through word of mouth an online communications as a valued asset to other nonprofits. Continue to assist worthy non-profits to raise money to meet their financial goals through benefit concerts, and in time develop an artist program. (The artist program will entail More than Music walking a worthy nonprofit organization through the process of creating a bite sized monthly sponsorship program and recruiting uplifting artists to promote that organization from the stage in their concerts, and through promotional material we develop. These artists then would receive a small kick back for each monthly donor they recruit. It is a symbiotic relationship promoting both great causes and life changing music; giving smaller nonprofits and specified causes a way to gain national notoriety and support, and giving artists a way to stabilize their income stream while supporting a particular cause that is dear to their hearts.)
3. MUSIC AND MISSIONS - Functioning as a sponsorship mechanism and in time a sending agency for national and international Musicians and Christ followers that have a heart and a project in mind to aid the brokenhearted.
2013 GOALS:
a. Serve current musicians and artists working through MtM; enabling them by sharing key contacts, creating a means for them to help fund their work, and offering marketing and development resources. (MtM is now working with a talented Haitian man who paints to fund his schooling.) Serve missions facilitated by MtM and sponsor missionaries as opportunities arise. Further develop our strategies and foundation for the missions aspect of the ministry (i.e. benefits and responsibilities, procedures and protocol) based on MtM’s experience facilitating four specific outreaches to Uganda, South Africa, Kenya, Costa Rica and Mongolia in the past four years. Further develop our strategies and foundation for the music artist aspect of the ministry, (i.e. benefits and responsibilities, procedures and protocol).
