#1 - What if my child doesn't like the characters approaching him/her. No worries here. Disney characters are "trained" to go on to the next child if the child they are approaching starts to freak out.
#2 - Can I stand anywhere and watch the parade. ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!!!! You thought I was going to say ABSOLUTELY, YOU CAN. Disney cast members will start blocking off the parade route with ropes. You must stand inside of those ropes, or you will be asked very kindly, may I add, to either get your keisters inside the ropes, or keep on mov'n. With your MyDisneyExperience you can set up reminders for parade times, but remember that is not a reservation, just a reminder.

General Walt Disney World News
Disney is testing where guests no longer have to activate a MagicBand at the time of purchase. This will only be applicable for the original 7 colors, not any of the special edition MagicBands. Guests will be able to link them at a future date, The stores included in this test are: Disney Outfitters, Creature Comforts, Chester and Hester's, as well as and other Walt Disney World Resort locations.
Disney has entered into an agreement with PANDORA Jewelry. The jewelry will be sold at the parks and PANDORA will be the new sponsor of Wishes.
Guests using the My Disney Experience app will now be able to view restaurant availability to make Advance Dining Reservations from 20 minutes out. Previously, you could only see availability up to an hour out.

Join Merida and her clan in an engaging “play and greet” experience. Inside Fairytale Garden, you can practice archery, color your own “tapestry” of Merida as well as her faithful horse, Angus, and spend some time with Merida herself!
