Cloudberry Studio Cloudberry Studio designs educational exhibits, environments, and experiences that seek to engage and inspire children.

Cloudberry Studio was founded in 2009 with locations in both New York City and Bangkok, and projects in many countries in between. Our global experience and multi-faceted skill set gives our team a unique perspective when designing for children. We approach each project as an opportunity to progress the field of children’s experience design. Children can be the most ardent supporters and the most

honest critics. We know we have designed something well when we see the the excitement and glowing curiosity in their eyes. Our designs immerse children in creative environments that:

activate creativity, curiosity, and intellect
engage children in making conscious choices to better their lives
enhance children’s social well-being, strengthening ties to family, friends, and the surrounding community
promote a respect for nature, through content and construction
encourage healthy living
engender an awareness and respect for diversity, next door and around the world

With backgrounds in film, theater, architecture, communication arts, themed entertainment design, construction, and computing, we seek to redefine high-quality children’s experiences and engage and inspire children (and adults!), in the moment and throughout their lives.

Last week at ACM, we shared a prototype of our latest pre-designed experience for toddlers. The concept of Tod Pods, exhibits designed specifically for a museum's youngest learners, has been in development for a while. As we visited children's museums around the country, we noticed a trend - toddler areas were often an afterthought. Usually relegated to an unused corner and sometimes non-existent, toddler exhibits needed a serious makeover!

Our response to this concern is Tod Pods - experiences designed specifically for toddlers that will engage their senses as they explore a safe and fun environment. This year, we shared a prototype of our Sound and Motion pod at ACM MarketPlace. This pod features fully interactive sound rings that respond to a child's touch with music and lights, allowing children to collaborate with each other and their caregivers to create their very own symphony.

As we created unique sound packs for this experience, we met some amazing artists who were thrilled to be a part of this project. In 2014, we look forward to installing several of these units growing our library of sound packs as we meet new artists!
