The Yoga Farm The Yoga Farm is a rustic yoga center and sustainable living project located on Costa Rica's southernmost Pacific coast.

Set amidst beautiful tropical rainforest, and overlooking open ocean, we are ideally located for those looking to reconnect with mind, body, and nature. Seven months out of the year, the Yoga Farm is a functioning community of diverse people - living, working, and playing in a beautiful corner of the world. Our particular region of Costa Rica is regarded as one of the most biologically diverse pla

ces in the world and guests can expect to see an abundance of wildlife during their stay. We provide everyone who stays with us simple, comfortable accommodations, daily guided yoga classes with resident instructors, and three healthy, primarily vegetarian meals each day. We invite you to stay with us anywhere from a few days to a few months and enjoy the Pura Vida!

Hey everyone! My name is Ellis, and I’m super excited to be teaching at the Yoga Farm this February! It’s such a magical place 🌺🌸✨

I will be teaching Hatha Vinyasa and Slow flow classes depending on where our energy level is at each day 🧘🏼‍♀️
On the farm we’re very connected to nature, and I like to integrate this in my classes as well, for example by working with the different phases of the moon 🌙

Can’t wait to meet you there!! Love, Ellis

Our great challenge in this life is to remain open and compassionate. We are born with these traits, as we are born to love our mothers and seek warmth. Knowledge of complex and brutal and heartbreaking scenes playing out around the world can be paralyzing and can challenge our ability to remain open and soft. The amount of suffering only one click away, for the lucky ones, is astounding. As the lucky few, doing our best to live fulfilling and beautiful lives, it can be so hard to let it in. I don't have the answer. But I know that we need to keep love in our hearts. We need to stay open to miracles, however big or small. We need to prioritize people over nation states, hearts over walls. We alone may not be able to solve anything as complex as global conflict (but if you feel you have the answer, please tell your congressperson) but we can spread peace and love in our own sphere. So give big hugs, smile at a stranger, sing to the sky, give your excess to someone who needs it more than you. Please, today, be messengers of loving kindness.

Meet Wilber! Wilber lives in Punta Banco and is one of our favorite people - so kind and generous and welcoming. You may see him in the mornings releasing baby turtles into the ocean, on the hill leading horseback tours into the indigenous reserve, or maybe out in the ocean on his favorite midlength. We love this guy!

A little message from our December chef!: Hola familia! My name is Kelly and I’ll be joining the Yoga Farm this December to create some beautiful magic with you in the kitchen! Coming in from NYC, Costa Rica, and Punta Banco in particular hold a special place in my heart and I’m honored to return to the pura vida life as a resident chef with the Yoga Farm this December. It is my one of my greatest joys to get playful and messy in the kitchen and help you tap into your creativity through food, creating nourishing meals to be enjoyed together in community. I’m a passionate baker, so you can look forward to some sourdough specialties in our time together 🥖 Until then, you can follow or for some cooking inspo! Can’t wait to meet you💫

noce a Ramón y Elena :)
These two are gems. Ramón and Elena have always treated us Yoga Farmers like family, taking us in to do homestays with them and their lovely children and now grandchildren. Ramón and Elena are part of the Guaymi indigenous tribe who make their homes in the hills around us. They and their beautiful family love to host people coming through looking for a coffee, a snack, and a chat but are most excited to host workshops on their traditional textile crafts. They come by the farm every couple of weeks with hats and bags they and their family made from leaves and fibers from the forest. Their handiwork is the best around, and so are their hugs :) Hope you get to spend some time with this pair!

Meet Lauren, Emily, and Emma - the Tree Planting Girls! We’re lucky to get to hang with these three in their off-season from planting baby trees on the west coast of Canada. These three are great cooks, make other people feel great about themselves, and love garden work, getting crafty, and having fun. We love y’all!
