‼️ Breaking! Disney announced today that beginning February 25th, both Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at Epcot and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom will switch from a virtual queue to a standby line. Lightning Lane will still be available at each in its current form.

The countdown is officially ON!! Today marks 100 days until the opening of Epic Universe, featuring five unbelievable lands!

This morning, Universal announced some unique menu items that have my mouth watering!

First up is the Butterbeer™ Crepe! “This whimsical creation is a delight for Butterbeer™ lovers. Crepe filled with a delicious shortbread cookie butter Bavarian cream, Butterbeer™ cream and topped with fresh strawberries, Butterbeer™ drizzle and a Butterbeer™ shortbread cookie.”

From Super Nintendo World, feast on Bowser’s Fireball Challenge! “Step up to this challenge featuring a towering 1lb. meatball topped with gooey mozzarella cheese in rich mushroom marinara sauce and fresh parsley. Served with a Bowser-inspired puff pastry and a side of hot sauce, this fiery feast will ignite your taste buds.”

Of all the amazing lands and attractions coming to Epic Universe, I think I’m in the minority when I say I’m most excited for Donkey Kong Country! This is my favorite video game of all time. I have been playing it since the 90s and still play it to this day. Just repeating the same levels over and over again. I can’t wait to see it brought to life!!!

Not much remains from MGM Studios and even what does, has already changed so much. Another phase of big change begins this spring with the closing if Mama Melrose Ristorante Italiano on May 11, and Muppet Vision 3D and PizzeRizzo on June 8. With that brings the end to all of Muppet Courtyard and anything that remains from MGM’s days of old.
The key under the map was my favorite Easter egg (pic taken in 2006) and I am the saddest to think that Sweetums will no longer be walking around the theater every day. What will you miss about this area? What are you looking forward to in new Monsters Inc area?

Did you know Space Mountain and Carousel of Progress, two attractions in the same land in the Magic Kingdom, both opened 50 years ago today??

Horizons, the beloved Epcot center attraction, in operation since 1983, officially closed its doors on this day in 1999. This omnimover style attraction took guests through visions of futuristic living and allowed riders to choose their path at the end.

The Horizons pavilion was located in Future World East, amongst World of Motion, Wonders of Life and Universe of Energy, all of which are no longer operating as their original attractions.

This day, in 2008, would be the last day Disney MGM Studios theme park at Walt Disney World operated under that name - a name it’s held since its opening on May 1, 1989. The following day, the park would officially become Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Although changes to the original park did not happen overnight, ever since that name change, MGM Studios has seen the most changes of any Disney theme park since that day. The removal of the Backlot Tour, Streets of America, (and anything else having to do with the art of movie making) and the addition of two new lands and theme changes to existing rides, makes the park almost unrecognizable to what it was when it opened. Now with the closing of Muppets Courtyard announced to make way for Monsters Inc Land, there is not much left at all from this park’s glory years.
