Two years ago, I was immersed in the vast expanse of Jordan’s Wadi Rum Desert, reminded of travel’s true gift: perspective.

The endless sands and towering rock formations made me feel so small, yet so connected to something ancient and boundless.

Each journey has the power to open our minds, deepen our gratitude, and awaken our sense of wonder.

Is there anything more satisfying than freshly baked bread? 🍞🥐🥖

Monterey’s Ad Astra Bread Co. has mastered the art of old-world sourdough with that perfect crispy crust and chewy center! Each loaf is a labor of love—mixed, hand-shaped, and fermented for two days. Pure bread magic!

And yes, I made it my mission to sample it everywhere I could! 😉

While in Monterey, I tasted this incredible bread at The Lantern Room in the Monterey Beach Hotel and enjoyed it in delicious sandwiches at Radici Market.

We dined al fresco in a charming, covered garden space at the historic Cooper Molera Adobe complex, savoring dishes from both Cella and Alta Bakery & Cafe. The avocado toast was divine! ❤️

Each spot showed off Ad Astra’s bread in its own unique way. Bread fans, this is the real deal!
