Is your favorite resort still closed for repairs? Charter a boat for a week and see all the islands from the comfort of your own cabin.

Beloved resorts, like Rosewood Little Dix Bay, in the British Virgin Islands, may be in rebuilding mode, but there has never been a better time to visit.

It looks like Cruz Bay is doing a pretty good job of getting back to normal.

The VI still had a lot of work to do, but the best way Statesiders can help is to keep your vacation plans for this beautiful paradise. The sky is blue. The water is warm. Come on down!

Brilliant, beautiful, classy. The best engagement photos I’ve ever seen!

It's been 2 months exactly since Hurricane Irma came through this island as a Category 5 storm, and wiped out our paradise home as we knew it in 'just' 6 hours.

So many feelings and thoughts were running through my heart and soul yesterday during this engagement shoot. I was so excited to be back behind my camera capturing the beauty that DOES still exist here, in the midst of all the destruction and rubble. I wanted to photograph love in the ruins, while stepping through broken glass and caution tape; and yesterday we did exactly that.

And how fitting that my the first-ever photoshoot since Hurricane Irma, the strongest storm in Atlantic history, was of one of the young men that saved my life that day that Irma hit. These two feel like family to me now, and forever will hold a special place in my life. When I look back on this chapter of rebuilding, renewal, and the evolution of St. John, I will forever remember the beauty found in the destruction, on this day.

Congratulations, Lauren & Marty! May your love remain as strong as this island! And thank you Marty, for the role you played in keeping me and everyone else safe that terrifying day. Love you guys!

(Special thanks to the jeweler, DeScenza Diamonds, who overnighted the ring so that we were able to do this shoot!)

A message from Carnival Cruise Line...

From Carnival:
10/20/2017
We'd like to take this opportunity to remind you that our Caribbean destinations are open for business... and they're looking forward to welcoming folks back to their beautiful islands! We have finalized our schedule of future calls to the few remaining ports that had not yet been added back to our itineraries following the recent hurricanes.
We will be resuming visits to Grand Turk in less than two weeks, calls in San Juan on November 30 and visits to St. Thomas and St. Maarten at the beginning of January. I hope you are as excited as we are at this great news!
The Caribbean continues to be the cruise industry's most popular cruising region and we here at Carnival, along with our destination partners, greatly value your business and look forward to providing you with a truly memorable and exceptional vacation experience.
I would also like to take this opportunity to assure you that, while the Caribbean region recovers from the hurricanes, Carnival is continuing to provide support to our friends and partners impacted by the storms. Over the past many weeks, we have provided deliveries of supplies to different Caribbean islands. We have also been fundraising and, in total, the Carnival Corporation family has committed $12.5 million to hurricane relief. And just recently we chartered the Carnival Fascination to FEMA to house relief workers in St. Croix.
If you have any questions about particular destinations, we encourage you to visit the Florida Caribbean Cruise Association Indicates external site which may or may not meet accessibility guidelines. Opens in a new tab. for more information.
We look forward to welcoming you aboard soon!
Sincerely,
Christine Duffy
President, Carnival Cruise Line

Looking good St. Thomas!

I personally see this as a catch 22 situation. St. Thomas is not ready for cruise ships, but aren’t the cruise ships putting money in the pockets of locals?

In less than three weeks, a hurricane-ravaged St. Thomas will welcome as many as 3,000 visitors from the cruise ship Adventure of the Seas, ushering in a rather truncated tourist season.
