If you’re wondering why the night sky in the Buxton area is a little darker this evening, it is because the recent winter storm conditions caused the light within the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse to stop functioning. The U.S. Coast Guard is aware of the issue and is working hard on a fix.

Something very cool going on down near Hatteras.
Shell-finding is great, but mind the sharks, stingrays, old fishhooks and strong current trying to get there.
