Kinabalu Park, designated as a protected area in 1964, spans 754 square kilometers and holds the distinction of being the first park in Sabah, Malaysian Borneo. This World Heritage Site's establishment was based on findings from the Royal Society Kinabalu Scientific Expedition (1962-1964), led by Professor Corner.

The park's centerpiece is Mount Kinabalu, rising to 4,095.2 meters, making it the tallest peak between the Himalayas and New Guinea. The slopes of this majestic mountain are a biodiversity hotspot, home to a diverse array of plant and animal species. The flora here showcases a unique blend of elements from the Himalayas, China, Australia, the Malay Peninsula, and the broader pan-tropical region, highlighting its exceptional botanical diversity.

We are thrilled to congratulate Mrs. Mimi Malina Jamaluddin, the Asst. Managing Director of SGV, on her appointment as the Industrial Training Advisor for the Diploma in Leisure Management program at Almacrest International College.

With her extensive background in Tourism Management and Human Resources Management from UiTM, Mrs. Mimi brings a valuable knowledge and experience to the table. Her role will involve sharing valuable insights and opinions on the tourism industry with the academics and students of the Leisure Management program.
