Some VERY exciting announcements during Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. Josh D’Amaro- Chairperson of Disney Parks and Resorts promised “this isn’t blue sky” announcements. All of these are already in the works! ➡️
🚢 Disney Cruise Line will be adding 4 NEW SHIPS bringing the total to 13! These ships will be setting sail 2027-2031 🏝️
🎤 The signature production aboard the Disney Destiny was announced- “Disney Hercules”! We also got a preview of the Disney Treasure’s signature show “Disney The Tale of Moana” which will feature a 15-foot-tall puppet of Te Ka.
🚪Monsters, Inc. is coming to Hollywood Studios! If you’ve ever dreamed of visiting the door vault you’ll soon be able to via the claw grab making it the first suspended coaster ever 🤯 Construction begins in 2025.
🏎️ Ka-Chow! Cars will be racing in a new reimagined section for Frontierland at Magic Kingdom. The area will feature 2 new attractions- one will be a thrilling rally race through the mountains, and the second will be geared towards the whole family. Construction begins in 2025.
🤠 Say goodbye to DinoLand U.S.A., and hello to the Tropical Americas. “Pueblo Esperanza”- the new land coming to Animal Kingdom in 2027. Dinosaur will be reimagined into an Indiana Jones attraction, Encanto is getting its first ride featuring Casita and the Madrigal family plus a new carousel attraction featuring animals from Disney stories.
🦊 The new show coming to the Tree of Life Theater “Zootopia: Better Zoogether!” will open Winter 2025.
🔵 Avatar is on its way to Disney California Adventure bringing another side of Pandora based on the movie’s sequels.
🎉 The first ever Walt Disney Audio-Animatronic is coming to Disneyland in 2025! “Walt Disney- A Magical Life” will debut inside the Main Street Opera House and will play in rotation with “Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln” after its initial run.
⭐️ More Avengers experiences are coming to Shanghai Disneyland Resort, Hong Kong Disneyland, and Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure will DOUBLE in size with 2 new attractions- Avengers Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab. Construction on those attractions begins next year.
🇫🇷 Disneyland Paris has a few announcements- it will be getting a new nighttime spectacular in January 2025 plus in the newly renamed Disney Adventure World- World of Frozen in 2026, a new Lion King attraction, and a nighttime show that will be in at the park’s lake.
💀 Coco will be getting its own attraction at Disney California Adventure. Work on the attraction will begin in 2026.
🐊 Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will open on November 15, 2024 at Disneyland Park, and Critter Country will be renamed Bayou Country.
🍹Two new lounges will be coming to Walt Disney World inspired by Spaceship Earth and Pirates of the Caribbean in 2025.
🚙 The reimagined Test Track will open in 2025!
☄️ Mando & Grogu will bring new missions to Millenium Falcon: Smugglers Run in celebration of its new film in 2026.
🏰 Magic Kingdom will be getting a new nighttime parade- “Disney Starlight” featuring characters from Peter Pan, Encanto, and Frozen. It will debut in Summer 2025.
🎮 Disney and Epic Games announced a new collaboration that will bring Disney Animation, Pixar, Star Wars, and Marvel to Fortnite.

Travel Tip Tuesday: Disney Cruise Ships have Mickeys on the carpet to better direct guests while on board. If the Mickey faces you then you are walking towards the front of the ship, and if he’s opposite you are walking towards the back. Just follow the Mouse!
