Our parent company is a Federally Certified Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business. I had already started a luxury travel consultant business in 2013 and saw many travel groups geared towards people of color. Those groups aren't really agencies but gro

ups of individuals who love to travel. Someone then makes arrangements with an agency or work themselves to put together trips a couple of times of year for the group. I wanted to take it a bit further and offer trips to various locations under the operation of an agency that not only offers leisure & group travel, but provides historic and unique cultural experience as it relates to the contributions of people of color to those areas that are not always talked about or show cased when doing general travel. Then jokingly, I said, "I am Black and Will Travel, I don't know why people are still shocked by that!" I am lucky that being a military dependent I got to live and experience places people only read about. This is how Black Will Travel was born!

Interest in Greece, Africa and the Maldives has been coming in like crazy. Your budget for a flight and hotel package should start between $3900-6000 for 2 people for 5 nights at any of these places based on the time of year. Remember fuel prices are up and more people are traveling due to relaxed entry requirements. Gone are the days of the great deals.

Are you aware that this book trumps all forms of identification? Even for employment applications? Yup, it sure does. If you have lost or don't have your original long form birth certificate you can use the passport book. You do need your birth certificate to apply for a passport. Some states can obtain it from VitalChek.com. That said, if you do not have a birth certificate for some reason. Visit your local DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles) and ask for assistance on how to obtain one. They assist people who don't have access to it all the time. They should be able to help you get the process started. Thanks to Telley Fulton for this advice.
