Allan Wright will share his insights from a recent trip to the destination and answer all your questions. He will be joined by our local guide Salome Kvaratskhelia and our long-time Zephyr guide Kris Keys, both of whom will be leading next year's Caucasus Mountains and (the Country of) Georgia Hiking Adventure.

Georgia has ancient history that is fascinating with all its western and eastern components. Its recent history - a struggle for independence against the Soviet Union and Russia - is inspiring. The food is incredible - some of the best dishes for vegetarians out of any cuisine in the world. The wine industry is the hottest thing going in the wine world - considered the birthplace of wine production. And the hiking is beautiful, much of it with the backdrop of the Caucasus Mountains.

What a magical week in Scotland hiking in fairy forests, along the Spey River, and all the way to the North Sea. We enjoyed the Scottish hospitality, exploring with an amazing group, relishing perfect weather, learning about and tasting drams of single malt, eating unlimited Walker's Shortbread, sharing pints in the pubs, and hitting an official limit of how much fish and chips should be consumed. Thanks for coming along for the inaugural ride!

Zephyr Adventures has been creating active travel vacations around the world since 1997. We are small by design, running only about 15 hand-selected trips per year. Our tours are unpretentious – we enjoy traveling in comfort but don’t believe we always need five-star accommodations to achieve that.

Our staff and guides treat each traveler as an individual, not just a number. And when you contact us, you’ll be communicating with one of the four of us (Allan, Beth, Kris, or Sonya) who, combined, have over 55 years of experience with Zephyr.
