Heather just returned from a fun getaway! “My husband and I enjoyed an excellent off-season stay at the beach this last weekend to refresh and recharge. Our first stop was in Pensacola Beach, Florida, where we enjoyed a fantastic view from our balcony, first-class service from the hotel staff, a gorgeous beach, and some delicious food at two of our favorite restaurants.

Our next stop on our weekend adventure took us to Gulf Shores, Alabama, to stay at a resort we frequent each year, and as usual, it did not disappoint! We again enjoyed a beautiful balcony view, attentive staff, and miles of pristine beach. And, while we ate at more than a few of our favorite places on this trip, we also walked many miles on the beaches to walk off the calories 😉

The temps were on the cooler side during this off-season getaway, and it was a bit breezy on occasion, but we’ve always believed that even a cold or rainy day at the beach is still better than any day in the city 🏖️

“We actually had no plans to go to all the Disney Parks but after Visiting two parks by noon and no plans until 6pm (Guardians ILL) we decided to go to Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom too! We had a fantastic time, hit up the top rides in our bucket list for the day and ate some favorite foods 😍.”

Donna Recently had a 2 part trip to Walt Disney World - “First 7 days were with my cousin Kathy that is like a sister to me! She has always been my Disney loving traveling companion that would go with me a couple of times a year! She has not been for a few years though. But I took a her to celebrate her 60th birthday 🎂! We had so much fun! We did many new to her things and all of our favorites! And even made some new favorites! She loved Tron and Guardians!! We went to Hoop Dee Doo R***e our first night and it did not disappoint! The food was so good and so much! Next night we enjoyed moonlight magic for DVC members and guests! There was a limited amount of entries available so the lines were much shorter than normal! We were able to ride Guardians, Soarin Over California, Test Track, Frozen watch the fireworks twice, Figment, Living with the Land, and tried to ride Remy, but it broke down and we had to be walked off.. we also enjoyed school bread from Norway, ice cream bars and popcorn! We went home very tired! But it was so much fun!! We are looking forward to our next Cousin Trip!
We also had time to see the horses at Tri Circle D Ranch and see Fantasmic and go to Raglan Road for the best Fish & Chips! All 4 parks Disney Springs several times and even a trip to the Outlet Store! “

“Girls Getaway!
My daughter has 1 day a year off from school that isn’t up against a holiday weekend so I took her for a long weekend as a belated birthday trip to Walt Disney World in early January. I did the same with my older daughter 7 years before and we still talk about those memories. We had an amazing time. Here is just some of what we covered. Most things were firsts for me…despite how many times I have been.

-Stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter and ate Mickey shaped beignets every morning for breakfast.
-Rode Guardians of the Galaxy:Cosmic Rewind 6 times in 4 days (for those that are wondering…we only got 4 different songs), which is a new visit record for me
-Got to see Christmas decorations up in each of the 4 parks
-Went to see Drawn to Life, the Cirque du Soleil show at Disney Springs which I HIGHLY recommend
-Got the BEST and closest look I have ever had of the Lion and Lioness on the Kilimanjaro Safaris
-Had a sneak peek at some of the fun Festival of Arts displays
-Experienced Moana’s Journey of Water
-Took a picture with the new statue of Walt Disney
-Saw Finding Nemo: The Big Blue…and Beyond! Show for the first time since it was redone” ♥️

Lynne and April had the recent opportunity to sail on Royal Caribbean’s brand new ship, the Icon of the Seas. They were invited to join the Naming Ceremony sailing in which soccer superstar Lionel Messi, was named the “Icon” of the Icon of the Seas. The ship sailed out of beautiful Miami for the three night sailing, and the itinerary included a stop at Royal Caribbean’s private island, Perfect Day at Coco Cay as well as a day at sea.

The ship is the largest in the world, but it honestly doesn’t feel that way when you’re on board. The ship is broken up into well themed “neighborhoods” which creates smaller, gathering places where you can join in activities, or you can relax and do nothing. We got to tour the ship, see 25 different room types, and try to take in as much as we could in the three days. The ship is just beautiful with so many well thought out designs.

The Icon has the largest water park at sea with six water slides. There is a rock climbing wall, a kid’s splash area, seven pools around the ship and plenty of hot tubs, and Flowrider surfing pool. The most unique activity is the “Crown’s Edge”. This is a walkway off the side of the ship in which the floor may just drop out from under you to leave you dangling above the ocean.

The entertainment on board is outstanding! We saw a dress rehearsal for “The Wizard of Oz.” It was truly Broadway calibur, and the effects were amazing. The woman that played Dorothy was so talented, and her name is actually Ruby. In the Aquadome, we were able to see a teaser show of “Aqua Action” with unbelievably talented divers, synchronized swimmers, and musicians.There was even a breathtaking aerial dance. Did you know there are eleven aqua shows in the world, and ten of them are on Royal Caribbean ships? Then there is Absolute Zero, the largest ice rink at sea. The ice skaters actually perform amazing stunts on the ship!

Three nights was definitely not enough time to enjoy everything this ship has to offer. With over 40 different places to enjoy food and drinks, no one goes hungry, and there are plenty of sweet stops to satisfy your sweet tooth. We ate very well, and made sure to leave room for the free ice cream.

We are looking forward to sailing on Icon of the Seas again, for hopefully a full week to be able to actually relax and really enjoy it. 😍

Lindsey Just returned from a family Trip to Disney World.
“Did we take another trip to Disney? Yes! Did we experience new things? Yes! No matter how many times we go, there’s always something new and that’s why we love going every chance we get! This trip was full of fun! We got to share the place we love with people we love and knocked out all 4 parks in 2 days!! We were so excited to check out the Journey of Water this trip and also ate at Sebastian’s Bistro at Caribbean Beach resort. The food was fantastic and the dessert was next level goodness!! We got to see the male lion while on safari which was an awesome treat! Run Disney was happening while we were there and it was so inspiring to watch and cheer on the runners who spent countless hours training for the marathon…does this mean I’m ready to lace up my shoes?… absolutely not lol but it really was a site to see and gave me goosies!!! Per usual countless memories were made that I will forever carry with me!! Adelyn finally got brave and wanted to meet characters and she also got to ride her first real rollercoaster!! Beach club is truly our home away from home and it was great to be back!!

Alsoooo who doesn’t love a good swim and s’more session on January?!? The weather was absolute perfection and all the pieces fell right into place to make this an unforgettable trip! Am I planning my next one back? YOU BET I AM 😍 “
