Grandparents get a chance to make memories and bond with their grandkids on fun educational travel trips. We do all the planning and make all the arrangements. Both the adults and children will enjoy our interesting, exciting, learning-oriented adventures. This summer we are providing two types of trips. One in New Orleans (with a culture-based theme) and one in South Florida (with an animal-based
theme). The New Orleans trips – “Steamboats, Parade Floats and Music in Mystical New Orleans” – are for kids ages 9-13 and the adults in their lives. During this trip, we’ll explore the world of Mardi Gras and Jazz, along with the mysticism of Voodoo and the “Cities of the Dead” (cemeteries), in New Orleans. We’ll also take a bus tour of the town, ride the Steamboat Natchez, and travel on the oldest continuously running trolley in the US. Mix this up with the sounds, smells, and sights of New Orleans French Quarter, the local foods, and some art projects and scavenger hunts designed specifically for this trip and the kids in the age range, and you will have a fun, fascinating experience in one of America’s favorite cities. The South Florida trip – “Lions, and Alligators in South Florida, Oh My!” – are for kids ages 6-9 and the adults in their lives. Beautiful, sunny Florida is the perfect location to learn the ins and outs of land and sea animals in the Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach areas. This is chance to come face to face and study the animals you and your youngster love the most, like alligators, owls, fish, giraffes, birds, lions, and MANY more animals! You will also learn about animals that you probably have never heard of – like, do you know what a Lechwe, Oryx, or Eland is? How about the difference between an Alligator and a Crocodile? We will visit the everglades, snorkel near the beach, visit local animal sanctuaries, and come face- to-face with lions (through the windows of our bus, of course!). Once you arrive at the departure hotel, we take care of everything else – all the hotel arrangements, transportation, and meals (with the exception of meals on one afternoon where you are “on your own” to explore and see the sights of interest to you). We also make all the arrangements for the educational guides who will es**rt us at each field trip site, the arts/crafts projects, hands-on experiences, and evening activities.
