🗻How to reach Tusheti?

You have two options to reach Tusheti: by helicopter or by car.

🚁Helicopter: There are no regular flights to Tusheti. You can only get there by renting a private helicopter, which costs around $2200-2500.

🛻Car: Unfortunately, there is no public transportation to Tusheti, and the only way to get there is by a 4WD vehicle. The road is not as dangerous as it is often shown in videos and writings. The most important thing is to have a well-held vehicle and an experienced driver.

📌Several options for traveling by car:

Driving your car: I do not recommend this unless you have already been to Tusheti before, know what the road is like, and are confident in your abilities. If you decide to go with your vehicle, ensure it is in good condition and has enough fuel (the distance from Tbilisi to Omalo is approximately 195 km or 121 miles). If you plan to explore the valleys, make sure to have extra fuel. There are no gas stations in Tusheti; the last place to refuel is the village of Alvani.

Hiring a driver: The easiest and most comfortable way is to hire a driver who will take you from Tbilisi or Telavi to Omalo, directly to your hotel.
· From Tbilisi: approximately 650-800 GEL.
· From Telavi: approximately 550-650 GEL.
I can recommend local drivers if needed.
From Tbilisi to the village of Kvemo Alvani, where you will find a local driver, and from Kvemo Alvani go to Tusheti.

From Tbilisi to Kvemo Alvani:
· You can take a minibus (marshrutka) from the Ortachala station. It is advisable to book in advance as it is a busy season and often fully booked. The earliest minibus departs at 9:00 AM, then at 1:40 PM, and the last one at 4:10 PM. Price: 12 GEL.

· I recommend taking the 9:00 AM minibus because drivers wait for it in Kvemo Alvani, making it easy to continue your journey. If you arrive later, you may have to stay in a guesthouse overnight and continue the next day or rent an entire car.

· Shared taxi: Available near Isani metro station. If the taxi driver is from Alvani, the price per person is 20-25 GEL. If the driver is from Akhmeta or Telavi, the price will be higher, around 40-50 GEL. With a shared taxi, you might have to wait until other passengers are found. You can also negotiate with the driver to take you alone, without waiting.

From Kvemo Alvani to Tusheti:
In the center of Kvemo Alvani, near the Cultural House, local drivers are available to take you to Tusheti.
· You have two options: travel with a shared vehicle(Delica) or pay the full price to travel alone without waiting.
· The price per person is approximately 100-150 GEL.
· Renting the whole car costs around 400-500 GEL.

In Kvemo Alvani, there are markets, pharmacies, and ATMs. Take cash here if needed, as there is no ATM in Tusheti. Also, stock up on any necessary medications as there are no pharmacies in Tusheti.

🗻როგორ წავიდეთ თუშეთში?

თუშეთში მოსახვედრად გაქვთ ორი ვარიატი: ვერტმფრენი და ავტომობილი.

ვერტმფრენი: თუშეთის მიმართულებით ავიარეისები არ სრულდება, მხოლოდ კერძო ვერტმფრენის დაქირავებით შეგიძლიათ ახვიდეთ, რომლის ფასიც საშუალოდ 2200-2500$ - ია.

ავტომობილი: სამწუხაროდ თუშეთის მიმართულებით საზოგადოებრივი ტრანსპორტი არ დადის და ერთადერთი გზა მაღალი გამავლობის ავტომობილით წასვლაა.

აქვე გეტყვით რომ გზა არც ისეთი საშიშია როგორც წერენ და ვიდეოებში ჩანს. მთავარია ავტომობილი იყოს გამართული და მძღოლი გამოცდილი.
ავტომობილით წასვლის რამდენიმე ვარიანტი:

1. თვქენი ავტომობილით წასვლა, რომელსაც მე რეკომენდაციას არ ვუწევ გარდა ერთი შემთხვევისა: უკვე იყავით ერთხელ თუშეთში და იცით როგორი გზაა და გაქვთ თქვენი თავის იმედი რომ ნამდვილად შეძლებთ.
თუ მაინც გადაწყვიტეთ და თქვენი ავტომობილით მიდიხართ დარწმუნდით, რომ კარგადაა გამართული და გაქვთ საკმარისი საწვავი (თბილისიდან ომალომდე დაახლოებით 195კმ ან 121 მილი), ხეობებში გასვლას თუ აპირებთ ამისთვისაც გქონდეთ მარაგი. თუშეთში ბენზინგასამართი სადგური არაა, ბოლო წერტილი სადაც მარაგის შევსებას შეძლებთ არის სოფელი ალვანი.

2. ყველაზე მარტივი და კომფორტული გზაა დაიქირავოთ მძღოლი, რომელიც თბილისიდან ან თელავიდან ომალოში, სასტუმრომდე მიგიყვანთ.
თბილისიდან დაახლოებით - 650-800 ლარია.
თელავიდან დაახლოებით 550-650 ლარია.
შემიძლია ადგილობრივ მძღოლებს რეკომენდაცია გავუწიო, თუ დაგჭირდებათ.

3. თბილისიდან ჩახვიდეთ სოფელ ქვემო ალვანში, სადაც ადგილობრივ მძღოლს ნახავთ და ქვემო ალვანიდან წახვიდეთ თუშეთში.
თბილისიდან ქვემო ალვანში.
• თბილისიდან ქვემო ალვანში წასვლას შეძლებთ მარშუტკით, ორთჭალის სადგურიდან. სასურველია წინასწარ დაჯავშნოთ რადგანაც სეზონია და ხშირად ადგილები არ აქვთ. ყველაზე ადრე გადის დილის 9:00 საათზე, შემდეგ 13:40 და ბოლო 16:10 საათზე. ფასი: 12 ლარი.
მე გირჩევთ 9 საათიან მარშუტკას გაყვეთ, რადგან ქვემო ალვანში მარშუტკას ხვდებიან მძღოლები და მარტივად შეძლებთ წასვლას. შემდეგ უკვე დაგვიანებულია,მოგიწევთ საოჯახო სასტუმროში დარჩენა და მეორე დღეს წასვლა ან მთლიანი მანქანის დაქირავება.
• საზიარო ტაქსით, რომელსაც ნახავთ ისნის მეტროს მიმდებარედ. ტაქსის მძღოლი თუ არის თუში ერთი ადამინის საფასური არის 20-25 ლარი, თუ ახმეტის ან თელავის მძღოლს გამოყვებით მეტს გადაგახდევინებთ, დაახლოებით 40-50 ლარს. საზიარო ტაქსით წამოსვლის შემთხვევაში შეიძლება ცოტახანი ლოდინი მოგიწიოთ სანამ სხვა მგზავრებსაც არ აიყვანს. ასევე შეგიძლიათ მძღოლს ფასსზე შეუთანხმდეთ, მხოლოდ თქვენ წამოგიყვანთ და ლოდინი არ დაგჭირდებათ.
ქვემო ალვანიდან თუშეთამდე.
• ქვემო ალვანის ცენტში არის კულტურის სახლი, მის მიმდებარედ არიან ადგილობრივი მძღოლები და აქედან შეგიძლიათ წახვიდეთ.
აქაც გაქვთ ორი ვარიანტი: წახვიდეთ საზიარო ავტომობილით ან გადაიხადოთ სრული საფასური და წახვიდეთ მარტო ლოდინის გარეშე.
ერთი ადამიანის ფასი საშუალოდ 100-150 ლარი.
მანქანის დაქირავება საშუალოდ 400 -500 ლარი.

ქვემო ალვანში არის მარკეტები, აფთიაქები და ATM - ქეში თუ გჭირდებათ აქვე გამოიტანეთ, რადგან თუშეთში არ არის.
ასევე რამე მედიკამენტები თუ გჭირდებათ ჯობია მოიმარაგოთ, არც აფთიაქია თუშეთში.

თუ რამე გამომრჩა და კითხვები გაქვთ ნებისმიერ დროს შეგიძლიათ მომწეროთ სიამოვნებით დაგეხმარებით როგორც შევძლებ.

6 and 7 days of amazing horse riding trips from Tusheti to Khevsureti.

You can choose which one fits your holiday interests.

📌6 DAYS from Tusheti to Khevsureti – is more easy than the second one.
First 2 days of riding follow the car road from Omalo to the Pirikiti Valley. You will visit and explore villages of Pirikiti Valley. From village Girev starts trail and the trip ends in Shatili, Khesureti.

📌7 DAYS from Tusheti to Khevsureti – Difficult.
You will visit the 3 valleys of Tusheti and then Khevsureti. From Omalo to Sabue, Gometsari Valley. From Gometsari to Pirikiti valley through Nakaicho pass. Then, cross the Atsunta pass and go down to Shatili, Khevsureti.
90% of the trip is trail riding.

Both of them you have to be fit enough for long days in the saddle.
