On May 20, 2024, the Provincial Government of Marinduque feted distinguished guests of the 2nd Quarter Regional Peace and Order Council Meeting to a "Governor's Night" that took place at the Boac Moriones Arena. The program was graced with the presence of Gov. Presbitero Velasco, Jr. along with Vice Gov. Adeline Angeles and Provincial Administrator Mike Velasco as they extended their welcome messages.

The event was also made special with the presence of the Hon. Eduardo Gadiano, Governor of the Province of Occidental Mindoro and concurrent RPOC Chairperson, as well as by the regional heads of different national agencies and uniformed officers.

Cultural performances were likewise made such as our unique tradition of Tubong or Putong by the Provincial Capitol Choir, a vocal solo by Mr. Jastin Leyhl Llasos, The Pangkat Kalutang, and the performance of Bargonia and Bila-Bila folk dances by select students from Our Mother of Perpetual Succor Academy (OMPSA).

A stew made with chopped (kari-kari in local dialect) innards cooked in to a rich thick blood sauce. Though traditionally made with pork innards, modern renditions often incorporate pork meat or a blend of both for a delightful twist on this beloved spicy-classic.

This traditional dish is a hit at social gatherings, from lively fiestas to joyful wedding receptions and laid-back get-togethers among friends.
